Hamilton doing an interesting stint behind Kimi, in turbulence air. From my non expert and naive view, it seems to behave well and lap times didn't drop too much. Not that it means anything in testing but just saying.
Did you notice how the Merc rear wing was shaking and moving around alot, and I dont just mean when behind Kimi.
Then my bad. i noticed during turn 3 that it was well planted and in some other corners but I may have missed what you said

I was watching the timing, and he was mid 1:22s before he caught Kimi, and then low to mid 1:24s once he got close.

yes, of course it depends on who is in front of you but that isnt a dramatic drop.

That T wing at least was shaking like me on Saturday night after a some drinks. Or more accurately described when SWMBO has discovered my latest modelcar purchase it's actual price.

Sorry I just mean the actual rear wing, the car did look planted and looked good to my untrained eye :) I just mean the rear wing was shaking a moving about a lot just not seen that before.

oh sorry! i thought you said the whole rear part, for some reason #-o

yes you're correct, i wonder to what degree is this normal. i remember two years ago there was a fuss around the mobility of t-wings but the rear wing is a different story. what could cause that? red bull and haas (right in the field now) seem pretty not-shaky

Hopefully Merc goes out again for some performance runs. They have 165 laps and a race sim in the books with over an hour to go.

That does not prevent Horner to declare:

- Merc is 0.5s behind Ferrari
- RB is in front of Merc, and will fight with Ferrari
No one on this planet can´t take these words seriously.

Performance runs won´t occur until next test and being Mercedes I still dobt if they will show their true pace. They should do, because it would be a mistake not to try to know where the car really is.

yes, of course it depends to whom (or is it who?) you're behind of but that isnt a dramatic drop.
"depends on whom" sounds better, although, the structure of the sentence is a bit off, so best to just rephrase - "it depends on who is in front of you" :)

Not sure why it would be like that, its almost (although i know it isnt) like there is a couple of bolts not tightened up properly if that makes sense, the Redbull rear wing is rock solid.

I agree, not to mention wasting over an hour of track time would be horrendous.

For all those who were wondering why Vettel couldn't pass Sainz or Kvyat, simplay because he didn't wanted to..... Ferrari grabbed up the data on how the car behaves behind another car (eg. drag, tyre degradation, etc.)
