I know the forum is packed with LH fans nowadays. But we can all agree to disagree; some people think LH is an "exceptional driver", others don't. It's all a matter of respecting other people's views. But I know JPM got a lot of hate for saying that.... surprisingly, not on youtube comments, though. There people agree with him about those bits
JPM mentioned Alonso as better than Hamilton in that video. Hamilton beat Alonso in his rookie year. JPM was hyped and failed to deliver before slinking back to the US. How many title has JPM won? Erm...

Hamilton has raced three world champions in the same car and beaten them all on balance. Did Vettel, Michael, Senna do that? Enough said.

Anyway, my posting of the interesting points wasn't intended to start a Ham-fest. The haters have done that on their own.

Let's move back to the race, shall we?
Wow, pulling Senna out of the hat, where he unfortunatly died in his prime years =D>

and what you call haters, are just people with an other opinion then yours .... again =D>

BTT:

I am a bit hyped about this Bahrain GP let see where every team really stands (at this moment)

Can we please not do the 'My driver is the bestest evah!' thing?

Please?

I'm very interested to see what Haas can do (provided Ferrari have fixed their engine problems). I expect Bottas to beat Hamilton here and Vettel and Verstappen to comfortably beat their team mates. Assuming Ferrari PUs are operating at peak, I wonder how close Haas will be to Red Bull (probably not close enough) and how far behind will Renault be (probably quite far, sadly)?

Without the Gio-train, things also should be a bit more indicative for the rest of the field too so we should be able to see how Norris and Alban do in their inter-team battles, just how off Perez's pace Stroll really is and where Alfa really sit in the pecking order.

I'm actually far more hyped about this race than Australia (such a bad choice to kick off the season :( )

No, the "only won because the car was good" types are haters, not holders of objective opinion. An objective fact is that he has bettered three world champions in the same car. Who else has done that in living memory? Or ever?

Agreed. Now we can start the three-four race process of seeing where the teams really are.

again its another opinion if you like it or not, but it doesn't mean they are haters... maybe you should start google "hate" or maybe even experience real hate ...then you know what Hate and Haters are.
just stop using that word it is inapropiate

from what i have heard Honda is giving RB a few more kw, if this is true i don't know.
but i guess it will be a battle between the top 3 with Haas on 0.5-0.7 as the 4th team

Agreed. I've been as pleasantly surprised by Honda's performance so far as I have been disappointed by Renault's.

Anyone want to bet on how often the lead Williams will be lapped :(

And does anyone think any of the top teams will go for anything other than a one-stop strategy?

Agreed. Bottas does seem to like this track, and Hamilton doesn't. Should be an interesting competition.

Vettel will beat Leclerc because the team will make it so no matter what the reality on track (as stated by the team). Max will beat Gasly because Gasly isn't fast enough - he's a straight No. 2 by virtue of not being good enough to beat his team mate.

Kimi for a surprise high points finish, perhaps.

no the top teams will go for a one stop unless the tyre degredation is so high they are forced to do a 2 stopper

Lewis is nothing special at all, he only dominated every karting/junior series, got a lot of hype and deliverd even more than people thought he would. I was thinking last week how special it is that he was a champion in 2008 and still is champion and as relevant in 2019, 11 years later.
That sarcasm is fun considering LH got spanked by Vitantonio Liuzzi on the world karting championship and only got 1 pole on GP2, where everybody has equal cars, versus 6 of Nelsinho Piquet. Lewis really "dominated every karting/junior series"

No more fighting over Lewis, please, at least not in this thread. The only things that should be measured here are things relating to or influencing the 2019 Bahrain F1 Grand Prix.

Well, Vettel defeated Leclerc in qualy and most of the race until it was clear that this race strategy was sh*t. Anyway, I do hope Ferrari Will let them battle at least in some races.
