Bahrain with all its issues delivers a great race once again. Gotta feel for Leclerc but today he showed he's Ferrari star for the near future. Maybe being unburdened by a championship past is what's needed? To be a home grown Ferrari champion, don't know but he's taking the pressure better than anyone could have expected. Ferrari is the team to beat and Mercedes is lucky to be where they are. The points do not reflect the reality.

Very entertaining and emotional race beginning to end.

Holy balls, the Sky commentary team are so obnoxious! Vettel was an absolute cucumber, but the way they were interviewing Binotto was just embarrassing.

Vettel sounds like he's seen the future...
Agreed. How do Ferrari now handle Vettel’s No 1 position now?

Hamilton in perticular doesn’t need an invitation to take advantage and if the Ferraris are going to tear lumps out of each other!!!!
I mention Hamilton because again Bottas today has shown he is too hot and cold.
Boys will sort it out on track like today. No1 will get person who does a better job
No way will Vettel accept a No 2 position.

I think the big question is what type of issues do we think Ferrari has, is hiding?

are they sacrificing cooling for an aero benefit?

Are they pushing to hard to make up for a power deficit?

When Lewis was bigging up Leclerc saying he's got many more wins coming in the future he's playing mind games with Vettel.
He was consoling him - "you lost out today but there is a good future ahead". He's just being nice to the guy.

What a good car that McLaren is!!! If not for Sainz being a bit clumsy, they could have probably been ahead of Red Bull.

With James Key joining, they can be boosted.

No way. He's just enjoying Vet's misery. Very normal behaviour from Ham. :D

This was a bit of a weird race in terms of form.

Hamilton puts on the mediums, and suddenly he has a racing car. Vettel (and to a lesser extent LEC) had similar problems in that you had the feeling their tyres would misbehave at the slightest provocation, which Vettel demonstrated with that 2018 move.

This is the question I've had about Vettel since 2014; he looks like a different driver when his teammate shows some form.

When is Albon jumping into Red Bull of Gasly? If Red Bull need to score high in Constructors, then they should make that decision faster.

Max is doing an Alonso for Red Bull. Taking that car to where it doesn't really belong.

Might be a strange theory, but couldnt it be that Renault remotely shut down Ricciardo's car accidentally instead of Hulkenberg when his engine blew?

hahah,
Vettel is driving angry and he needs to control that. Nothing more than he angrily stepped on the throttle pedal too early. He doesn't have the controlled agression like the great drivers. He needs to work on his head.
He would have fared better easing off the throttle and lining up behind lewis until the car straightens itself and then he would have another go at attacking. His mind was too flustered with getting past lewis to get to Leclerc.
Sad to say but he keeps showing why he is not on Hamilton's level. Leclerc is the real McCoy, calm, fast, and solid.
He does seem to panic and cry too much though, but overall a great and dominating race.

Leclerc clearly faster than Vettel, just lacks the experience but i think he can win in China.

Renault was disappointing. The car is clearly tied for fourth fastest with mclaren in the race but just doesn't have the reliability. It's strange because Mclaren are getting more out of the engine than the works team.
For Sure!!

That's just a projection of your own thought style; Vettel is not in contention for anything at the moment.

Bottas was on medium before, and the team knew that the car was better with that compound. Lewis did the job to pass Vettel at this time. Anyway Leclerc driving was perfect all the weekend, not deserved 3rd position.
