Does Bahrain form usually get confirmed in Azjerbaijan due to some similarities between the circuits?

Rear-limited, long straights, “Point and squirt” and low speed corners? Or would it be wrong to say that?

Just thinking last year, Ferrari were the fastest car at both tracks despite not getting the result in Baku.

Would welcome your thoughts :)

Ferrari was faster on the straights massively last year and equally fast in corners compared to Mercedes....but this year it is nowhere fast in the corners.

Losing a grand prix in Baku he should have won.

I remember 2017 that he was in second when he had a bit of red mist...

Yeah. Should have..... been black flagged (not won)

He certainly should have won last year though. Maybe he was lucky last year to finish 4th. If he was leading after the restart he would have been the one in Bottas' position.... and it didn't end well for Valtteri

Sort of. They will be fast along the straight, but there are a lot of slow corners and traction zones where they will really lose out to Mercedes in. So far, Ferrari are faster on the straights but not nearly enough to make up for the deficit in the slow corners.

Being quick in slow corners can gain you so much more time vs being quick in a straight line.

Don't think you can compare Bahrain with Baku, except for the long straights. Baku has way more slow corners than Bahrain.

Interesting stat: Only Nico Rosberg has converted a pole to victory here.

The run to turn 1 is so short that even a mediocre start should guarantee you maintain your starting position.

So will it be 4 different pole sitters come Saturday? I fancy Charles to be on pole.

Yeah, it's turn 2 that's the danger zone!
