You can put on brick tires for the second and last stint, it really doesn’t matter in Monaco. A place gained in qualifying for having an extra set of softs or some more experience on them is much more important.

Yeah sure it doesn't matter how slow you are, but surely grip levels, breaking points etc will change when they bolt the mediums eventually ,comparing to the softs.
If you haven't used them at all, there is a probability that you might end up in the barriers because you don't know exactly how they behave. For example, It can happen if you're pushing to stay in front of the other guy who is trying to overcut you.
