Lewis Hamilton poles: 85 poles
All the current grid combined: 88 poles
Freaking numbers!
It helps if you are fast, and then join a dominant team for three years. Enjoy a very good car for two years and then again have a dominant car.

I take it you want to see Lewis lap the entire field?

I just want something other than a procession. If Lewis laps the entire field in the rain at Monaco, he will get my vote for GOAT.

It won't rain.
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

I will always remember that 2016 race that Lewis should have won. Too bad that gap he drove out is what was his undoing and led to that strategic error.
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

I assume you mean 2015. Frankly, it was an awful decision by the team. It would have been a bit understandable if they pitted both cars in which case Vettel would have won the race but pitting only Hamilton made it look like he was screwed over by the team.

Either it is gonna be a procession or a driver like max makes a dive in the inside , but then he will get a penalty for being a racer.

As a Ham/Mercedes fan, I hope it's either a completely wet race or a dry race. I wouldn't want Hamilton to lose the race if it's chaotic wet/dry lottery.

Sadly, I'd take a lottery at this point just to retain any interest in the sport.

Kudos to Mercedes, but holy f*#k, this is getting boring.

I just saw qualifying again and those cars struggle a LOT to turn into the hairpin. Max opposite lock on these boats.. Shame that once upon a time people could actually pass around that place..

I looked up Monaco pole times throughout the decades:

1929: William Grover-Williams (Bugatti) 2:15.0
1959: Stirling Moss (Cooper-Climax) 1:39.6
1969: Jackie Stewart (Matra-Ford) 1:24.6
1979: Jody Scheckter (Ferrari) 1:26.45
1989: Ayrton Senna (McLaren-Honda) 1:22:308
1999: Mika Häkkinen (McLaren-Mercedes) 1:20.547
2009: Jenson Button (BrawnGP-Mercedes) 1:14.902
2019: Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) 1:10.166

Friggin' AAA...

I'd love to see a side-by-side cockpit view of those pole laps, that would give you a good idea of the progress they have made.

So 2020 will be the year we see a sub 1.10. Probably should have been this year if Lewis nailed S3. Shame.
