The only had a tenth advantage last year... they gained the majority of the time in Sector 1 last year.godlameroso wrote: ↑21 Jun 2019, 04:10The Mercedes may have a .4 second advantage in sector 3 alone.
Funnily enough, Mercedes was faster than Ferrari through S2 (2 tenths), by a greater margin than S3 (1 tenth).bosyber wrote: ↑21 Jun 2019, 10:28But they might be a lot better through T12 and T15 this year; I guess Ferrari would still be the fastest in S2, though despite Bottas feeling the track itself would be better without the chicane in mistral, I bet the Mercedes engineers are quite happy to have it there this year (and maybe it also helps Haas, Ferrari keep those tyres warmed up?)
Whoever was faster in each sector last year - it has zero influence and meaning on/for 2019.mkay wrote: ↑21 Jun 2019, 11:03Funnily enough, Mercedes was faster than Ferrari through S2 (2 tenths), by a greater margin than S3 (1 tenth).bosyber wrote: ↑21 Jun 2019, 10:28But they might be a lot better through T12 and T15 this year; I guess Ferrari would still be the fastest in S2, though despite Bottas feeling the track itself would be better without the chicane in mistral, I bet the Mercedes engineers are quite happy to have it there this year (and maybe it also helps Haas, Ferrari keep those tyres warmed up?)
They went back to the old wing on Seb's car (didn't see what Charles was using on his last run) could they revert to old spec, hence longish time in garage?
