It's hilarious when some one decided to have some lines on the press, every race or 2 comes with a number of HP deficit for Honda to the others. It's like everyone have HP sensors on his eyes, or says it still have contacts. Are you serious?? I'm getting tired about too much expertise of some people trying always to bash Honda

Honda has more work to do. No doubt. I don’t think anyone is saying they don’t. But if anyone thinks this is all Honda or mostly Honda, then they are just being silly.

Where do you read that people say so? Everybody knows that the RB15 is not a good car.
There is far too little mechanical grip. That is generally known.
Now Max also says that more HP must be added, so there is still a lot to do at RBR and Honda.

The 2 STR are always on the top 10 of the speed traps. So that mean that Honda aren't that far, but what happens with RB15 is more chasis/aero related. Than a huge lack of power like that hilarious 60hp number

they are in race pace quite a margin ahead of midfield (at least in Max's hand), so i think you can't say that the whole package is bad. It's all relative, obviously the're still lacking quite a lot compared to Merc and some less compared to Fer.

Question is: can they solve the twitchy rear with this design philosophy (high rake). I don't know what they need and what the lead times are for a confident solution, but it seems to me that they are struggeling with the rear quite some time now. Or do we just need more patience?

What more evidence other then Maxs own admission on power defeceit and Renaults advantage with quali modes do you need to prove that Honda is lagging. Agree its no way even half of the 60hp reported.

Its plain obvious based on data. The same Toro Rosso driven by Kvyat with spec 3.0 engine was overtaken at the starting lap by Russell speaks volumes.

Verstappen mentioned today they are running more downforce than needed to keep the rear under control. Probably explains the speed trap difference with TR and we know the RB14 rear was much better

You mean Russell who was in round 11 still on the 19 th place and 17 seconds (!) behind Kvyat
who was already on the 16 th place?! #-o

What evidence? That the Renault have some good quali modes but on the race is nowhere near Honda?? Points are given on sunday, and a car that qualified only 0.02 behind the RB15 with the mighty Renault PU (you say it) , is far behind on race pace. No safetys, no incidents, and 60 seconds gap. So your claims after qualifying have fallen apart quickly.

Even Albon with an old spec 2 was overtaking cars with Merc and Ferrari PU, so your arguments are as solid as water.

Yes thats exactly what i am saying quali modes in Renault is better but race modes are the same. Duh. Are you going to use Gasly as an example because Max is driving at Hamilton level or better he could have got the same result on the Mclaren or Renault.

First Toro Rosso is a solid chassis, Redbull spec 2 in a way which is one reason why James Key left and they should have been much better here than what they showed mostly because of misfortunes. The Force india car is nowhere near as good as them and yet they are better in race pace.

All the HP talk I take with a pinch of salt. After Australia they said "we are within 10-20hp of Merc'. Now after 2 small upgrades they are suddenly down 60?

Engine or car they need to improve both IMO.

Let's hope Horners promises over radio post race to Max are about to come true: "There will be more coming, there will be more coming. Just have to stick with it then the performance will come."
You're mistaken. That is what Lewis said of Honda after Australia. Let's keep the facts straight.

You don't score points in qualifying, and last I checked Max's Honda powered car beat ALL Renault powered cars. So there is the obvious proof that the full potential of the RB15 and Honda outperforms any Renault powered car and driver combination.

Gasly can be considered good as gone. He should go to Renault to replace Hulk. I've said all along that Kvyat deserves a better drive and hes had more bad luck than others, plus he gets targeted for being Russian. I rate Kvyat equal to Ricciardo in terms of raw pace but a little reserved after his torpedo stereotype.

The big downgrades for Red Bull this year are the chassis and 2nd driver.

Im not. Dont know about lewis, but Marko said it for sure. Marko saying this Doornbos saying that... Just a reason not to pay attention to those hp claims.

I'm sorry but you're talking nonsense. Even if Max is on Hamilton level, it's not worth a second of time. And no, it's clear than on race Honda is better than Renault. Mclaren are better on the tires than the RB, and even with that, 60 seconds gap. Honda right now is better on sustained power during a race, better in fuel efficiency. Even Vettel was unable to be on Max pace until the tires were gone. And doubt that he was saving some time. So yes, you're wrong and not able to see/accept facts that Honda is better on race.

And STR are a mild of the RB14 and some parts of 2019. Race pace of Kvyat was far better than the RP, but coming from 19th and battling everywhere, what you are expecting?
