Max Verstappen has won the Austrian Grand Prix, and by doing so secured the first Honda powered victory since the company's return to the sport in 2015. Leclerc was passed in the penultimate lap and finished second, ahead of Bottas in third place.
I just watched Vettel - Sainz incident from last year. Lol ppl who draw parallels between what happened today and last year are delusional. Vettel was parked at the exit of T1 (which is a blind corner) which could've caused a big crash. Essentially, he was penalized not only for blocking but also doing something very dangerous.
Ppl who say Hamilton deserves a penalty are hilarious Not only Raikkonen advanced into Q2, but he also advanced into Q3. Hamilton while trying to get out of his way, inadvertently ended up blocking him. If that right then would've prevented Raikkonen from advancing into Q2 then yes, he should've gotten a penalty. And trying to draw parallels with Vettel - Sainz incident is grasping at straws and shows you guys are just bitter thru and thru. Vettel prevented Sainz from advancing iirc.
what a conundrum. Hamilton probably deserves some repercussions for the kimi incident but it would neuter the race excitement. Would not want to be a steward, whatever they decide will be unpopular again.
If Suaber did not report it though Hamilton could get away with it. It's not a very obvious obstruction.
In fact he didn't block him at all. He just appeared in Kimi's vission.
According to you, what kind of tyres will Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull use?
Is it possible a Soft/Medium for Ferrari?
Have Mercedes and Red Bull decided to run with Medium/Hard?

He has been summoned.

I think the stewards decision will be based mostly on the views of the drivers or they would have made a decision sooner. I believe Kimi will not be that bothered by it and Hamilton did try to take action to prevent problems, however, he did cause Kimi to be impeded. When the stewards are relying on the views of the drivers, it really depends on what the feelings of the drivers at the time of the interview, and in this case Kimi made it through Q3 and tends to have a laissez-faire attitude to these sort of things. After talking to both I believe it will be a reprimand which is probably the correct call but not the call for the letter of the rules.
I was 20 meters off apex t1... Fence is quite close to the track there. It was obvious that Lewis messed up kimis lap. I dont know why he didnt just park it before the turn, i think a haas did exactly that, parked on inside 20 meters before apex and just waited there.
As for the ferrari speed...if you look at it, they had problems with keeping tyre up to temp, so that means they are easier on tyres. With temperatures here - that definitely helps in keeping tyres alive. I dont know how many degrees is out on track, but trust me when i say its scorching hot.
