Another great video from Mclaren

I dunno, but something tells me Lewis won’t get a penalty. It’s not the first time he’s been called out on the radio for impeding by other drivers. I’m surprised they’re even looking at it. I think it was KMag (of all people) who said Lewis is the worst offender in blocking. Besides, I feel even if Kimi was asked, he’d just shrug and say it didn’t affect him at the end of the day.Jackles-UK wrote: ↑29 Jun 2019, 16:18Could well be 4th tomorrow with the Magnussen gearbox penalty and a potential 3 place grid drop for Hamilton. Great opportunity for points tomorrow.
That’s interesting... Seidl isn’t an aerodynamicist, so I wouldn’t expect him to have much input in that side of the car development... If anything, Key may have more input on that.RonDennis wrote:On Dutch television Robert Doornbos said that Seidl has introduced a small change to the car that improved the aero efficiency a lot. He's normally well informed. This will probably be one of the best signings by Brown.

Agreed. If true, doesn't speak too highly of Peter Prod & Co.SmallSoldier wrote: ↑29 Jun 2019, 17:14That’s interesting... Well, he might have taken some tricks from the Porsche camp with him.SmallSoldier wrote: ↑29 Jun 2019, 17:14That’s interesting... I doubt that there are such "small changes" that you can just bring over. It's not the 70s. I feel that people are trying to explain why is McLaren looking faster last few races, and Seidl is one of the more visible changes in that time. It's easy to attempt to connect the two. I doubt that it is true. If Seidl didn't start then I'm sure they'd say Key brought in some tricks after his garden leave.
Totally different categories, Car aerodynamic, setup, etc... I doubt there is much if anything at all that could be brought over from there... The one thing that I could think (and it would still be a long shot) is tire management, which is critical in WEC... But beyond that, can’t see what could be transferred.RonDennis wrote:Well, he might have taken some tricks from the Porsche camp with him.SmallSoldier wrote: ↑29 Jun 2019, 17:14That’s interesting... Agreed... This cars are so intricate on how every part needs to work in harmony with 10 other parts that you can’t even just copy what other teams are doing and expect a result right away (probably why you don’t see another car simply copying Mercedes FW, Bargeboards, etc, etc).FittingMechanics wrote:I doubt that there are such "small changes" that you can just bring over. This is great! If he can manage to maintain it until the end of the first lap... Good points are possible... P4 is an amazing result!geogate wrote:Lando starts P4 then - that boy is going to have some nerves up there

A Mclaren on second row is really something special after what they've been through.
With Key and Seidl joining,Mclaren is now giving me the same sort of vibe that Mercedes used to give back in 2012-2013;
there's still a long way to go,yet the structure is there.
