Im no expert, but bahrain is rear limited, china front. According to Karun Chandhok, Silverstone is marginally front limited. What that means for their performance, I dont know, as Paul Ricard is front limited, and they performed just fine there

I can't imagine how this race will pan out. With the importance of a good tow I can see a number of the laps at the start of the race being reasonably close with plenty of action, even before DRS.

I don't think keeping 6th is a foregone conclusion, if it were a bet, I wouldn't say the odds are that short and there is a strong enough risk that we could easily drop back. Sainz won't necessarily be able to hold Landos competitors up due to three DRS straights, so I don't think he can help out much. I think the race might be very exciting and a little bit heart in mouth.

Sainz will be the dark horse. Plenty of power on the straights, he will be getting a lot of Tow, a lot of DRS.

I wonder if an early pitstop for Lando might help. Is clean air a benefit hear or is traffic and tows on the three DRS straights a benefit to overall race pace?
I guess it would depend on how we can exit corners when behind other cars.

McLaren may have been front limited at the start of the season, but going by recent performances it could be a safe bet to say they are overcoming that now. Infact, they have looked strong though the high speed corners all season, and are now consistent though medium and slow too. It's why we're not seeing them fluctuate as much as the other teams, the car is a solid all rounder. Silverstone isn't particularly front limited, so I'm expecting them with their upgrade to be very competitive. Sainz taking an engine penalty this weekend shows the team believe that too, they're quietly confident.

Hoping for a good clean start today and hopefully Lando can enjoy a solid first stint in 5th place. Expecting Vettel to close in eventually, so 6th would be a realistic target. If the front runners come together though, a sneaky podium is definitely not out of the question!

Car's still pretty front-limited but I expect that to be fixed come Silverstone. If the new floor works they'll have a stronger rear end and could afford more front downforce at the expense of outwash. Coupled with the POU suspension it could increase the pace significantly.

Gasly is the only one between Norris and Vettel, both Alfa Romeos probably allready have the orders not to hold back Vettel.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

I think Norris will be told similar, it will only hinder them both if he tries to keep Vettel behind

Just seen Adrian Newey looking closely at the car again on the grid, he seems very interested in it this season

I really hope that Lando can hang with the ones in front for a while... If he can be in the tow of the Mercs for his first stint, it should allow him to open up a big enough delta to the ones behind for his pitstop (whether he can do it or not, I don’t know).

Let’s hope like always, for a clean getaway for both cars... And a race without any mechanical issues... If those conditions are met, the points should come too.

Norris back to 5th place, great overtake on RAI... Carlos already 14th and closing the gap to RIC...

Still a lot of race left!

Norris will be able to pull an important gap whilst people behind squabble for positions

You are right... Was thinking about something else :)

But yes... 6th and with decent pace in the low 10’s right now, opening a little gap of 3 seconds to RAI and GAS (who I hope will tangle for a few more laps)

All about finding the gap for Norris to pit into now
