Maybe you should update your signature with a new line of me. Can't miss the opportunity to rub that one for years to come, right?

Pedro de la Rosa:
It was a superb race Let’s not forget though that the driver on the outside can and should back off at one point, but obviously with asphalt run offs no one does...hoping the guy inside gets penalized for forcing them off the track#LetThemRace

While we wait anyways...

Carlos "Ninja" Sainz had a stellar race from 19th to 8th, apparently he could have been 7th but broke his front wing (off camera, or course).

"-Nunca había tenido un coche con el que salir último y poder hacer esta carrera, incuso teniendo en algún momento la vuelta rápida. Haciendo adelantamientos limpios, creo que no han salido por la tele porque cada vez que adelantaba miraba a la pantalla y veía que no, que tampoco salía ese. Quizás hubiese podido atacar al final a Gasly o a Lando, pero no me puedo quejar."

Translation: I never have had a car which, startin glast, allowed me to do this (type of) race, even having the fastest lap for a while. Doing clean passes, I think they were not shown in TV because every time I passed someone, I looked at the screens and could see then, no, this one is also not shown. I could even, maybe, attack Gasly or Lando at the end, I cannot complain.

LOL. He still had time to check himself in the screens!
There was not much, if any coverage of him on TV. He drove a stellar race IMHO. A pity he didn't get the screen time he deserved.
By the way I love how he would check the screens every time he overtook someone 8)

I believe they are waiting all dutch fans to leave before giving a penalty 😂.
A Dutch tv commentary said " if Max gets a penalty, break everything down on the circuit" it was former f1 driver Robert Doornbos

Interesting view on the matter. Does that mean in 1994 Michael did no wrong as he was in front and can just sweep to the track limit.

Think Horner and Mattia still want the 2018 spec?
Definitely!

They want this tyre advantage over Mercedes at every race, not just when track temp is 55 deg C.

It's a glimpse of how it could be, if the tyres suited Ferrari and Red Bull better by being easier to warm up. [And conversely, Mercedes would overheat them with their chassis that is harder on tyres.]
I don't think you understood my joke, mate.

Mercedes had ZERO tire troubles today. Tire advantages did not decide anything today. Merc were losing 5 tenths/lap due to their compromised bodywork (for cooling; a solution much more extreme than some of the other teams) and 2 tenths/lap due to not being able run their higher power modes.

But the lack of blistering allowed both Ferrari and Red Bull to have 2 cars pushing until the end.

Yeah it made me laugh when Hill was trying to justify Max
