Ferrari doing Ferrari things again.
Starting on Soft worked wonders in Austria I guess.

I don't get it.

I believe this is caused by the Ferrari understeering so the driver is forced to put more steering input which leads to higher tyre wear. Correct me if i am wrong.
When a car is understeering you'll see the driver reduce the input to recover the front end, not increase it.

Exactly. Adding lock when understeering will just make you understeer more.

Well, actually it worked in Austria, didn't it? I mean, they were faster than the Mercedes on the Mediums throughout the entire stint. The (big) mistake was to pit that early. There was no reason for that.

Excellent first lap by Bottas gives him pole, Lewis coudn't Lewis lap back from that first attempt mistake. Leclerc is impressing or there's something really off with Vettel's car. Norris is my driver of the future. The guy is just silk on a race track.

Didn't expect Ferrari to be that close to Merc, basically the same gap as last year. Safe to say they improved the car already.

Amazing job by Leclerc! It would be interesting to know what was wrong with Vettel. Can't imagine that he was that off without any problems.

Close at the front. Mercs are so close it's silly. Good shot by Leclerc. Vettel driving like he's lost intetest - did he have a problem?

Split strategy at the front should add some interest. Leclerc will fancy his chances on the first lap. Mercs did look very fast in race pace, however.

Agreed. Him, Leclerc, Max are looking to be the guys of future championships.
