RBR racing has fewer points and have won fewer races that they did at this same point last year with Renault. The odds are against them matching the 4 wins with Renault in 2018.
So wonder what RBR are saying internally that they're not saying publicly.
It's not about winning as much as last year. RBR is in it for the long haul. They must be happy with the development thus far, and looking forward to future potential.

Changing MODE is just about turning the dial, Position for ENGINE and STRAT are changed by operating buttons, all evident from those onboards.
May I ask how you got that information @Muramasa?
Maybe you work for RBR or Honda?
Or have you perhaps seen this information on a video or have you obtained this information in another way?
Do you have a link ? Just curious.

Not only that but the 2019 restrictions on the FW wrt the floor philosophy has hit them more than any other top team clearly. I expected to see the team suffering in the midfield and quite surprised that they've plugged the leak already with a win under the belt and a very fast car in the hands of VES. wouldn't be surprised to see them on top in 2020 given what Honda is bringing so far

Not just that, but don't forget Ricciardo went to Renault and they've got to deal with Gasly now, a far cry from what Danny can do.

Absolutely sure with Danny they would have had much more points. And if Max wasn't derby'd out by Vettel, he'd have a a good more amount of points.

Ah...I can't resist: wonder what Cyril and McLaren are thinking now.
It's when you dumped your ex for holding you back, but it turns out you were holding them back. :wtf:
Think they saying it was the right move for McLaren, necessary evil. McLaren are 100% faster than at any time with Honda. It was "expected" that with the RBR chassis that RBR/Honda would win races. RBR racing has fewer points and have won fewer races that they did at this same point last year with Renault. The odds are against them matching the 4 wins with Renault in 2018.

Plotting their next win ofcourse.
As other teams start to turn their attention to next year's car, RB and Honda should work to help STR close the gap and overtake the midfield.

Red Bull has stated that Honda has exceeded expectations and let's not forget Red Bull had two wins last year on merit - Monaco and Mexico. The others were thanks to fortunate retirements. So really it's only one more win on merit to match last year.

Red Bull and Honda have moved on from McLaren Renault and aren't looking back. And we know what they are thinking of their previous partners - "good riddance"!

This year's win wasn't on merit..without Ferrari screwed tyre strategy and mercedes cooling problems it wouldn't be a win

It WAS on merit. RBR-Honda DIDN'T screw up with their tyre strategy, and RBR-Honda DIDN'T design their machines badly so that they wouldn't have cooling problems.
Isn't this the game they are playing?
So according to your way of thinking, Mercedes didn't win all these races on merit, because the others screwed up with the designs of their machines or not having a perfect strategies.

I am seeing a trend here. Not all, but many of the McLaren and/or Alonso fans have to feel good about themselves by saying bad things about the others (mainly Honda), while RBR-Honda fans feel good by praising their own achievements. Which is healthier?
I think Mclaren has a lot to be praised about this season. No need to say bad things about the others.

Not on merit??

Did RBR screwed up the tyre strategy? NO
Did RBR have cooling problems? NO.
So they did a better job than the other teams en deserve to win.

Excuse me , but with this logic , MexicanGP wins in 2017-2018 was due to elevation elements which affect the efficiency of turbo for Mercedes and Ferrari too.
And the win of Monaco 2018 .. we were lucky that it was in Monaco not in other circuit as Daniel was losing power.
So ?
Win Austrian GP this year was a part of game , it's not our fall that Ferrari chose the wrong tyres and was forced to stop earlier
and for cooling problem for Merc .. we watched nice performance from Honda either in Silverstone with cool temperature
To conclude RBR haven't won any race in this era on merit except Malaysia17 and Austria19 and may be Monaco18 that couldn't be put on the list due to losing power of Renault.

The future is bright for redbull honda. For them to be this close to qualifying for pole and still there is the spec 4 to come. i can image more wins are likely before the end of season. race pace max could have had bottas in silverstone, if not for the vettel incident

I am afraid you are not going to find any logic with sour grapes.

Regarding the performance of team these days, Redbull should be so proud but also the headache is in the road !!! #-o

Honda have or will have a powerful engine ready, that can put them in the same level as Mercedes and yet Redbull can't use it because the 2 coming races are winnable and they will not afford to take penalties :
- Germany is winnable because it's a short circuit like Austria, has low and high corners and also because there is some high temperature expected. (+30°).
- Hungary, it's a race where RedBull usually perform the best and could obtain the best result as a team.

 For my point of view, the options will be :
- in Germany, If the team think the win is in hand, change the engine for Gasly and a STR driver otherwise change the PU for Max and give him the best option for the future races.
- in Hungary, change the engine for Max (or Gasly if not made yet) and the second STR driver.

If they decide to take the penalties before the summer break, the next suitable race to take penalties would be Russia.

It's a shame that we don't have a second driver that has won races. Gasly is not there yet.
