People should really give it rest. Every GP starts at zero. If he deserves it or not is dependant on his performance this weekend. And he does go well here.

Yes every GP starts at zero, agreed, but people are hoping he wins only because he has struggled for the last several years, not because he has shown anything to deserve it.

I hope he wins too. Because i’d rather see a Vettel at the top of his game, than one who is struggling. And admittedly, i’m getting annoyed by the constant bashing of him. His made mistakes, sure, but he’s also delivered awesome drives and poles in his career and when the car was to his liking.

For me there are at least 5 drivers in 3 teams that I'd be glad to have the win and who might have the win, this is a great, great era in F1 let's notice and soak it up!!

I'm sorry but bashing is totally acceptable here. Why should Vettel have immunity/special treatment by the media and fans?

He doesn't deserve a win. Leclerc deserves a win because he has been performing better lately (qualifying, podiums, race craft) plus he basically won in Bahrain but was let down by the car.
Moreover he has been screwed at least a couple of times by team strategy.

Last time Vettel was close to a win, he bottled it. You are as good as you were yesterday. That's life for everyone, not just Vettel.

Last year both Mercedes were clearly faster in wet, so I don´t expect a lot from Ferrari if it rains.

Even without rain, Mercedes will have a huge advantage on cool track if the weather is cloudy enough

at the momeent the forecasts difference very much.... 1 says dry, another possible rain, and again another saying rain ...
i guess we'll have to wait till Friday to get an accurate forecast

I never spoke of “deserving”. I simply stated i would hope he does. There’s a difference. I also dont believe past performance on a different track should have any bearing on another one. Every GP is its own race. If Vettel drives well, why should his past experience matter?

That's not entirely accurate. In Silverstone Leclerc drove better for the entirety of the weekend and still got hung out to try by Ferrari in the pit stops. They were focused solely on Vettel.
