Weird accident for Bottas... Check his steering input?

Looks like to much re-gen/engine brake/bad brake balance.

Seems that Merc will go for an M-H one-stop strategy in the race, with Lewis on hards being just 3-4 tenths slower than Max on soft ones and 2 laps fresher tyres ...

I think they could have an alternative strategy, due to an SC phase, with a long first M tyre stint backed with a final S tyres stint had they would have to pass someone ... regarding this matter, could here work that 2 stop strategy Lewis has had it in Hungary?

Now down to car setup they must shift more towards qualy instead of race pace like they did in the last races, isn`t it? Coz here is all about track position ...

I think this is going to be a Hamilton vs Verstapen race again...Ferrari seem to be close but i don't think they will be close enough!

Do we have any news on what happened to Leclerc? Gearbox?? He might be fast around here...he loves street circuits!

Doesn't look like he lost the rear by mistake… I don't have sound available, but from the vídeo, looks like he had more aceleration than he was actually count on.

11 degrees bellow the ambient temperature... Must have been Kimi that throwed an icecream to Hamilton's car.

Wasn't even aware of this reg. Cooler fuel temp = better performance ?

He apologized right after the crash. Seems like it was a mistake.

Maybe they keep the engine temperature better

Yeah, that is what I thought as well. To what degree I have no idea but it has to be very marginal.

IMO it has nothing to do with engine temperature (the effect of the fuel temp. on this matter should be negligible). It has to to with max fuel flow. In the regs this is limited at 100 kg/h if i am not mistaken but in reality it is measured real time as a fuel volume flow rate I think. The mass flow is than depending on the density of the fuel which is influenced by the temperature.

You could make a small tank, small part of the tank where you actively cool the fuel immediately pre use?

The final sector is going to be the main differentiator between who gets pole or not. Particularly the final chicane, you have to be aggressive with the curbs, and getting on the throttle too early will send the car into a spin. You need quick hands for getting on the throttle on the exit of the chicane.

So with lower temps they can increase the volume of fuel at a given moment? Isn't that the reason why they use "Mass Flow" sensors to monitor fuel delivery?
