If a race is suspended under Article 41, and cannot be resumed, no points will be awarded if the leader has completed two laps or less, half points will be awarded if the leader has completed more than two laps but less than 75% of the original race distance and full points will be awarded if the leader has completed 75% or more of the original race distance.

Two things that stood out for me.

Do you analyse your competitors?
"We have a lot of info and we look at GPS-data. We compare laps and I re-watch the races. It’s interesting to hear the team radio. Some drivers you know better than others so you know better how to ‘break’ them. It’s a psychological game, also with team mates..."

Is it true the team will be able to run a new fuel spec for the race at Suzuka?
“Yes, over the years, fuel updates have always resulted in the biggest gains so we’re expecting quite a bit from it. I don’t think the others will bring updates on that front.”

Looks like heavy rain on Saturday just in time of qualifying and lasting till early Sunday morning. Sunday should be ok, perhaps even qualifying.

It will be the outer bands of a typhoon. Rain may not be that bad, it will be quite windy. It may not affect running too badly, depending where the eye tracks. Worst case scenario, it seems Tokyo will get a direct hit. However the storm is expected to weaken before reaching Japan, and the brunt of it will not be hitting the circuit which is on the western side of the island.

The problem is the pirelli tires, by their own numbers, their full wet tires move barely more than the Bridgestone intermediate tires from 2010. And they refuse to improve them, look at the foolishness that happened at the Bahrain tire test this year. Rosberg let the truth out.

yeah, Saturday will be the worst condition: Storm! Suzuka organizer will probably shut down the whole circuit. We may see qualy and the race on Sunday just like 2004.

I tend not to trust my weatherforecast sources any more but they are still forecasting heavy rain on saturday with strong winds. If this happens as forecasted then I will be surprised if we have any running on saturday. Q and race sunday I guess. On a then completely green track and with rapidly improving track conditions.
