Btw, f1's official youtube account uploaded the best F1 race ever, the 2005 Japanese GP.
That would be the 1957 German GP, but F1 probably don't have any video of it...

Please don't remind us about those horrible pirelli wets, it's just unbearable. I don't get it how a tyre company as big as pirelli can't make even half decent rain tires???? Just incompetent imo. Raikkonen put it best just days ago: "f1 looks ridicioulus not running in wet conditions".

drs( accounts for 1 to 1.5s),
In suzuka drs is worth maybe 0.5s, and on most tracks it's probably less than a second.

So who's crazy enough to stay awake until 3AM then sleep for 3 hours and watch the race 6AM...on a Sunday, what a mess.
:D 8)
This is practically what most people outside of Europe have to deal with.

How about that ridiculous tow Bottas got in the last sector though :o :o
what tow?! 3 guys here saying this :? The car in front is way too far away. There is no effect. Bottas just was 0.35s faster on s2.
Sorry mate, but if you cant see drs effect on bottas' lap then there's really not much else to discuss. Even the speedo says bottas is 10+ kmh faster.

You might want to check tv guides for the Porsche Super Cup coverage because qualifying is taking over that event time. F1TV is probably your best bet.

Can't get F1TV in Canada. TSN has all the rights so you can't access it in Canada

Yes it is, Dans79. Here in the States (Nevada) I’m used to either getting up or staying up till the wee hours to get my F1 viewing in. Let’s hope for a great race.

Watching the race at 10 pm is perfect here in canada. I'm with dan79 since i have to get up at 4am usually for most of the races.
Yes, it is indeed a treat to watch a race that’s not at 4am our time here “across the pond”, so to speak.

This. So many in Europe get bent out of shape about the times for a handful of races, but forget that the bulk of the calendar is setup to give them races at nice convenient times. It's a much bigger commitment to be a fan in North America. Even races like SIngapore are basically night races to allow nice cushy viewing for Europeans.

I find it amusing that this is never discussed in the million articles discussing why F1 can't get a solid foothold in the US. As a Canadian fan, I can tell you that watching F1 around here is not for the casual viewer.
Totally agree with you about F1 not having a greater fan base here in the States and our Canadian friends north of us. It’s not anyone’s fault- it just is what it is. Being an F1 fan here requires a commitment and a willingness to forego sleep most of the time.

Does anybody at or near trackside have any updated, current weather info and what the conditions are looking like?

From what I heard on twitter, it's sunny but still strong wind in Suzuka.
