1 purple sector, dont go too crazy over the lap. Shows a 1.26 was definitely possible.
I was really conservative with nominating Ferrari the best car but today should settle the debate . They not only have the best engine, they seem to be at par with Merc on every kind of corner.yelistener wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 04:20Ferrari winning S1, I mean, who the hell could've though that?
It’s funny that you mention engine, but since they came out with spec3, i never really felt they made any gains. At Spa, they were supposedly running the engines turned down due to the reliability concerns and then at Monza, no one really said much. I do think some of that sudden performance Ferrari unlocked strange.... did Mercedes just stagnate or did Ferrari make a huge jump?holeindalip wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 04:22I’m baffled, how in the world?? Ferrari’s has some bright spots in the first half of the season and after the break they come and dominate (when the factories are suppose to be shut down). Have Mercedes been turned down for reliability concerns or what?
1 slow chicane, top speed already reached by the start of S3 and a short run to the line.
Maybe the Ferrari is working the tyres a little harder. Tyre deg could be a big thing tomor...... in 160 minutes.Phil wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 04:28It’s funny that you mention engine, but since they came out with spec3, i never really felt they made any gains. Either way, i am most shocked that Mercedes didnt nail purple in S1. That was their sector. I could only assume the green track and the wind had some influence and just went away from them?
Well, I don’t really mind. I’m happy about Ferrari 1-2 in particular.NathanOlder wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 04:221 purple sector, dont go too crazy over the lap. Shows a 1.26 was definitely possible.
Indeed. I’m wondering if that’s what Mercedes have done. Remember they were eventually only 2/10ths down at the end. Did they go with a race setup expecting their pace to keep poll anyway?NathanOlder wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 04:30Maybe the Ferrari is working the tyres a little harder. At Monza Mercedes did say that number 44 used his engine at its highest mode and that was not enough.Phil wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 04:28It’s funny that you mention engine, but since they came out with spec3, i never really felt they made any gains.
