Attempted murder by the FIA.

Check around the 15 second mark. That piece was much bigger than I thought at the time.
Yeah it was crazy. But after that as well. It was pretty obvious that Leclerc’s mirror mount was failing. Schumacher was forced to pull in once to remove a mirror, which was working itself loose. But in this case they just happily let it happen, and kept the camera’s on it to see if they could capture another Massa type incident. Ridiculous.

For the Vettel incident I can somewhat understand. Awarding him a false start would mean that Vettel would be disqualified for the next race. That would be a big embarrassment for ferrari and F1.

And for Leclerc and Verstappen. It probably should be a penalty. However in end these things happen and there was no bad intent. I do get the feeling that Leclerc is becoming a second Grosean. Yes he is quick, but in order to be that quick he has to drive much closer to the limit than some of the other top drivers, there seems to be not a lot of margin with him.

Some q3 laps. Gotta say all cars look insane on this track. Bottas taking degner 1 as if he's playing f1 2019. Speeds trough spoon are also ridicioulusly high. Overall I think leclerc was fastest trough there (240 and 175 min speeds), I'll post his run later.

As said, I'll have some more stuff a bit later on.

Erm Raikkonen was given a Penalty for jump start and he just got an in race penalty.

- So it's not a track where Hamilton excels afterall? BTW it looked as if it was Ferrari with less engines in FP.

- Verstappen got his own medicine from his slide across the corner (TM) move. Not so uncompromising now when he's on the opposite side of dirty driving. Hypocrite: "Where should I go". Ask yourself when you do moves like that to others.

- Leclerc is not skillful enough in wheel to wheel. This one was similar to the one vs Bottas. FIA allowed it for so long and now they pretend it's a problem?

- Vettel's Ferrari lost another race from pole + one two. A theme, they should hire two better drivers.
- WIll MV be candidate for pole? Almost, RB only 0,8 from pole =P~ .

Stewarding is really poor of late. Multiple inexplicable or contradictory decisions.

A certain team seems to be getting the rub of the green at the moment as well.
Hardly surprising when they have a TV presenter and his massive TV as expert council :D

yeah i dont agree with the incident with verstapen, its a side by side it happens, cold tires etc.. plus Verstapen has no moral ground to complain.

Vettel penalised himself anyway with the start, i even think that because his car moved a bit bottas just went for it and fortunate that it got going a millisecond after lights out. ( its like a normal reflex and he got lucky i guess )

i hope they keep it as is.. because its always penalty here and there...
Hamilton always complaining on the radio wanting penalties for others... business as usual.

Leclerc should have been black flagged, that debris could have splintered into spectators. Stewards should be ashamed.
FIA has entered into braindead state with regards to handling Leclerc's driving antics. He was let off the hook in Monza and today he destroyed Max's race, ignored team's instruction to box and could have caused potential safety damage to Hamilton. That is way too much to be ignored.

But they are stupid enough to penalize Gunther steiner for causing f***** "Moral Injury".
This.

From the minisector picture posted above, it seems Albon is the quickest through spoon's first corner. Do you have his telemetry?
The spoon section also had extra kerbs this year and cars could go a bit wider (particular the 2nd part). This definitely helped, even by just a tiny bit.

It seem Lewis always leaves a tiny bit of margin at degner 1 so that he could have a more comfortable entry for degner 2. You lose almost nothing at degner 1 because it's so fast, but you might gain a lot more at degner 2 as it leads all the way to the hairpin. Netherless to say, it's still a mega pleasure to see Bottas taking degner 1 like a madman.

How the heck did Lewis win the straight after 130R? That particular section must've included some of the braking zone before the last chicane because otherwise Ferrari should easily win that section.

And Mercedes didn't win any of the slower corners. Hairpin won by Gasly and the chicane won by Leclerc. Either the wind hit Mercedes harder, or so their so called "Suzuka upgrarde" was too subtle lol

It's counter intuitive, because the stronger-than-usual winds meant that yes, you have max downforce, but the inherent draggy design of Merc means that their drag also shoots up. So they probably were worse off than if there were no typhoon this weekend.

Slightly off topic but I missed Brundle’s inevitable “that’s a slam dunk false start by Seb”. Noticed he wasn’t in Russia as well :\ is he ok? Just a favourable contract where he can miss a couple of flyaways?
