NBA suspending entire season as of right now; NCAA men's basketball tournament to be played with no crowds; this is going to get lot worse before it gets better. I wonder if the Australian GP will be the only race we see this year, at least with a crowd!
With McLaren pulling out for the Australian GP I highly doubt the event will go ahead.
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

There was a poll about this issue, but it disappeared?

The event has already started, all the sessions (other categories) on Thursday were already run, presumably with the circuit also open to spectactors. :wtf:

Oh come now, I'm referring to FP1 onwards.

It will get canned, how can they let this go ahead when one team has already pulled out? This is not fair at all to McLaren.

I appreciate that, but Formula One is just one of many categories on the schedule. So far there has been little appetite from the promoter to cancel the event.

Wouldn't it be even more farcical to hold the support races and allow spectators in, yet have nothing happen at the scheduled F1 sessions?

The main risk is, after all, the spectator areas.

While it's plausible the promoter may suddenly decide to suspend all activities, they have so far shown little interest in doing so.

I am not suggesting their actions are correct, but merely noting their motivations -- containing pandemic does not appear to feature in the promoter's priorities. :wtf:

I don't believe we've heard the latest on HAAS?

The event is going to get cancelled in all likelihood. One in all in, it's the only right thing to do.

There are more team memebers who have tested positive. Not sure which team(s)

Do teams fly together on FOM chartered flights or do they just make their own way to the destinations? Absolutely sucks for Mclaren and I’m guessing a few more people would be vulnerable after a savage long haul flight and ‘west to east’ jet lag.
