And how many precautions has your country/government taken so far?falonso81 wrote: ↑12 Mar 2020, 19:21I blame McLaren. They should have taken measures to protect their personel or test them before they go to Australia. This goes for all teams. Everybody knew the situation. Did the FIA expected that the virus would have subsided in a matter of days? They have to tell us what is the reason they are calling it off. Is it because of McLaren or is it because of the virus in general? Either way, they really f@#%d this up.They might as well call the entire championship off and move on to 2021.
You aren't, but some people might beRingleheim wrote: ↑12 Mar 2020, 18:28I can't believe they've called it off! F1 used to be dangerous! Take a few risks! I'm dying to find out just how slow the Ferraris are!
Exactly, they could have called it off weeks ago, just now taking everyone to the same location and spending millions then cancelling it in the last possible minute. idiotic indeed, should have done it long agodans79 wrote: ↑12 Mar 2020, 18:32I swear to god, they are all morons. The local government officials, the organizers, the fia, all of them. If you wanted to protect people and set a good example you would have canceled the race weeks ago. Instead you let them all pack into commercial flights, and then let them mingal with the local population for a few days now.
All racing series have cancelled their events, and u put Mclaren on the spot here. I personally blame China, since they have played with the genie in the bottle and released it over the world.falonso81 wrote: ↑12 Mar 2020, 19:21I blame McLaren. go ahead, take a few risks, go find your local Corona infected, stick your tounge in his/hers mouth, armpits,
let them spit in your mouth, then kiss your loved ones, go to your elderly parents or grandparents, and visit your friends pregnant wife.
you've got to be kidding me.

McLaren's reaction is more of symbolic nature. This raises the awareness to all these naysayers who took things for granted. Yet here we are, facing a pandemic which could've have been avoided if all people took it more seriously in the first place.Spacepace wrote: ↑12 Mar 2020, 19:52Ughh I feel discomforted... I know the moral high ground but I don't care. Everyone on here is virtue signalling and it is gross to read. I mean do you really care that these people could possibly be affected? What connection do you have with them that makes you feel so affected by the possibility they could get sick? These are legitimate questions I have because I am perplexed by everyone's attitude on here.
Test every personnel. Make the choice from there to not allow them to take part in the weekend. This can be done before races and on arrival of race weekends. I don't understand McLaren's reasoning to just walk away when they found the one personnel that was infected and was then consequently quarantined. It's done. There's nothing you can do for them except wait. It's most likely not some elderly person so they will recover.
They should limit fan interaction as well with media interactions.
But come on people!!! The outrage I'm reading on here is just ridiculous. And having read some of the backlash people have got from having the point of view that I have is more egregious
No this is just preventing verstappen and Honda domination. Das ist soNathanOlder wrote: ↑12 Mar 2020, 19:43China release the Coronavirus to save the world from the total domination of DAS!
