I can't believe it. First Stroll and then some other who decided to go full stop ruined Sainz today and with such a good start. So mad right now.

No one decided to go full stop. Front runners were still going slow and the cars from the back started accelerating. I have never seen suck a thing. Like only half of them saw the green flag.

Stop making stuff up. Sainz simply lost it, it happens. The safety car retardnesness is the blame of FIA...it is what it is.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

I think the SC has turned off the lights in the last corner instead of three corners before. Blame it on the SC. Unpresentable.
Nah, whether the lights went off before the last corner or 30 secs earlier, it was already in the pits when the accident happened. you can ony blame the people trying to get the jump at the start.

How did that happened? Also what do you think of the incident between Sainz and Stroll at the start? How did he lost it if he had the inside racing line?Shouldn't Stroll have given more space?

Last corner should be the place of acceleration. But FIA cant think of it. Too much to process i guess.

I believe Latifi accelerated too soon, the back of the grid reacted to it and we he backed off (because he was passing someone before the start/finish line the carnage ensued.

It’s a shame for Carlos because even with the problems in the first lap, considering the cars in front of him, he had a chance to get back on the points

Like they said on the TV, in the car, you can't see Bottas from the midfield, only the cars around you.

As soon as one accelerates they all do.

Game over.

To be fair it is highly unusual to wait in the way Bottas did, I think everyone just assumed racing must have started and went for it, not realising quite how bunched up the whole pack was from the midfield up.

Edit:
Carlos suggesting that it won't be a problem if you force the cars to begin racing before the main straight, the speeds on the straight are too fast to be able to break quickly in situations like this.

Actually, the current way isn’t a problem... Yesterday in the F2 race they had the same safety car strategy by the leaders and there weren’t any problems...

On another note, I'm glad now that Lando started on Softs, if there was one tyre to dispose of quickly, it's the soft!

What can the team do now? Can we do some damage mitigation? How exactly did Sainz lost it at the start?

Maybe they will send Sainz back out, some duct tape is probably enough to mend his car.

If only there was that 3rd chassis but it was banned a long time now. Oh well. The race is still a long way to go and anything can happen.

He touched Strolls front left with his front right and that made him spin... Just a racing incident
