What a sprint race!

I initially assumed Miller pushed Espargaro out, but the replays showed he went as long as Miller himself. Losing the victory in last corner must hurt

Oliveira must be happiest man on earth tough :D

all this talk of edge grip .....
we might think tyres when 'on edge' are intermittently in and out of pneumatic compliance
how else could s arm lateral compliance be the answer to 'chatter' ?
(the rear suspension is still acting at these extreme lean angles - unlike (maybe) the front suspension)

I must confess I am confused a bit with an exhaust solution that Yamaha has tested today at Missano on VR46's bike. Since quite a few years now tendency was to either have one low and one high exhaust pipe (for V engines) and as short as possible exhaust for inline engines. And now Yamaha came up with... well this:

If anyone can enlighten me as to what this change may bring please do, as I don't have a great understanding of exhaust systems.

This is just one idea. I don't know real reason.
Yamaha is fast start of races and they slow down during races lap by lap because of their issue with rear tyre. Yamaha bike spent rear tyre's life very fast. At first race, Quartararo was saying that he plans to make a good start and make enough gap at first part of race, then try to keep tyres cool. He said when they are in trafic they can not do it.
So I think they want to keep hot exhaust gases away from rear tyre by releasing it back of rear tyre.

a conical exhaust is usually good for higher power. And I think they just tried it to see if they can cope with a "harder" to ride but more powerful engine.
If they decide to use it, they are probably going to package it like Honda did in 2013

I watched the race yesterday, the championship is crazy! Joan Mir 4th in the table at only 16 points of the leader speaks volumes about the championship

5 different winners in 6 races, 4 of them were first time winners in MotoGP, something wich never happened before except obviously in first championship in 1949

Stefan Bradl is now also hurt. Numbness in his arm and generally not enough energy. 3 Honda riders are out. Crazy stuff, especially when you consider they have only 4 bikes and 5 riders.

Yamaha exhaust could also be related to the problem they have with valves, which have caused them to cut revs.
