It's only on the one side of the car?
Well the cars are symmetrical by regulation so it makes sense.Shaddock wrote:It's only on the one side of the car?
didnt McLaren run different sidepod openings at silverstone last year?Scotracer wrote:Well the cars are symmetrical by regulation so it makes sense.Shaddock wrote:It's only on the one side of the car?
I don't think that's accurate, teams used to run different winglets on different sides of the car etc.Scotracer wrote:Well the cars are symmetrical by regulation so it makes sense.Shaddock wrote:It's only on the one side of the car?
The internet has a big part to play in that. But we dont have much driver intrigue like in the Piquet/Senna/Prost/Mansell days... we know pretty much where every driver is gonna be for the next couple years it seems. Cept for Button & Rubans.Roland Ehnström wrote:This is the most interesting pre-season ever!
Rubans will be in the library writing books about how mean Schu and Ferrari were.ISLAMATRON wrote:Cept for Button & Rubans.
I would have to agree. Perhaps they will take photos of the paint ripples after a lap and analyze them. Clever idea.NaZzO wrote:

I was just surprised that with wind and lateral G they would not have dispersed it across the whole car for a more accurate read out?Scotracer wrote:Well the cars are symmetrical by regulation so it makes sense.Shaddock wrote:It's only on the one side of the car?
I think they only changed the internal dimensions of the sidepod inlet to keep it legal.ISLAMATRON wrote:didnt McLaren run different sidepod openings at silverstone last year?Scotracer wrote:Well the cars are symmetrical by regulation so it makes sense.Shaddock wrote:It's only on the one side of the car?
They might still do that, although I think to find out how the air moves around/over the pressure points is more important.Shaddock wrote:I was just surprised that with wind and lateral G they would not have dispersed it across the whole car for a more accurate read out?
