also, Sky just said Lewis summoned to the Stewards ?
For what?
About his run in Q1, he cut turn 3 and didnt go round the bollards apparently.
Where he skidded it wss diffuclt to. And he didnt leave the track in a wayward way.. But hasn't he been penalized for this before?

Are you mixed up with his outlap in Q2 ? It was Q1, he just ran a little wide, just cut the corner at the exit of T2. Iv'e seen it happen a lot in practice, and nothing done other than laps deleted. So we will see what happens. Not sure if it was his best lap in Q1, but I doubt it was as he would have known it was a cut so he must have done another lap.

Stroll completely outclassed by Perez. Poor performance by him. Mechanical issues yes but he should have been safe from his first run in Q2.

He's showing they sacked the wrong driver. Not that this wasn't know before.

Bottas getting mashed on one of his favourite tracks.

The only thing that makes it interesting is Hamilton being on the softer compound during the first stint. That might give Bottas half a chance. Realistically, Hamilton should win this in spite of the handicap.

I'm just glad he won't break Schumacher's win record on this track. It would be a shame to have this abomination of a carpark associated with any high-profile, longstanding records.

2 mercedes and 2 redbull
I know, it was an ironic question. Because let's be realistic there - we have not had fascinating races among Mercedes and RBR at all. :)
We would have a better race between Max and his team mate, though.
Ah common stop being bitter all the time, Your ferrari team will win again in future

I was talking about THIS race with Lewis on different tyres and it would have been fascinating if there were four cars out witting each other in strategy
Why do you think I'm bitter? :) Haven't thought of Ferrari even a bit - I know they're out of contention and I'm ok with that.

Just saying that RBR (sadly for everyone despite Mercedes fans) is no where near Mercedes. The silver/black arrows will be untouchable tomorrow. No matter the tyre and the driver in the RBR. I would be glad to be proven wrong of course, but I doubt it.
Only way to make tomorrow's race exciting would be a team mate battle, but Bottas is one of the weakest drivers regarding race pace and wheel to wheel action so... get in there Lewis!

Hamilton pulls it out again.
Max showing Bottas how to maximise chances that is for sure.
Bottas should pass him on race pace easily. I don't think RedBull are running the downforce Merc is.

Vettel again. He's still cracking under pressure. That inside curb strike at medium speed is a rookie mistake. It's like his driving has gone backwards. Still not sure if he will be an upgrade on Perez driving wise.
What pressure? Vettel is done at Ferrari. No ambitions whatsoever.

So Hammy has to start on the flaccid tire? That's good news for Verstappen who starts on the mediums.
Nah, soft, wet, soft is a good option

Merc making more mistakes under pressure, should have kept Hamilton on mediums in q2 and had him at the head of the que. They will need a clean start and green running for the first 15 laps for any chance to win.

Verstappen to lead in to turn 2, loosing power shortly afterwards. Calling it now.
the real question is though - how will they manage to get this one red flagged and Ham moved to the back of the grid...

I’ll say 1 thing though.Hamilton must be mentally bulletproof ATM.

I mean to have those issues and end up so touch and go in Q2 and then smash the living hell out of it in Q3 takes some doing.

How I wish it was a true meritocracy. PER wouldn’t be scratching around for a drive & HULK would still be employed.

None of the mentioned drivers will be replaced by PER

Every driver was making mistake including Hamilton. Vettel's mistake turned out to be more costlier. How does it matter to RP if you are convinced if Vettel is an upgrade over Perez or not? Any driver on Perez is an improvement as he himself hasn't done anything worth noting with that RP either.
