No one mentions the extremely strong winds?! Or the fact that there will be a tail wind on race day going into 9-10?

Qualifying will have a head wind into 4 and 13, and a cross wind on 14 pushing the car into the apex and away from the edge of the track.

The wind will affect the wing levels needed.

Surely it’s just a temporary structure at the usual airport, not a temporary airport.

Exactly, they said that recently.

If he can win a race he will keep his seat for sure. But i dont think Max Bottas and Hamilton will let that happen.

More pressure increases? Well that should help the slow the Mercs for a few laps until they can get them working properly. Gives others some hope, I suppose.

It has been the case all year long. Those increases were compared to last year. With the exception of Silverstone 2, those increases aren't out of league. The world isn't out there to somehow get your driver. Relax. Every team will have the same parameters. Mercedes learns their lessons faster and these pressures aren't going to put them off.

Binotto only to be present in ‘difficult times’

Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto has confirmed he won’t be with the team at the upcoming Bahrain Grand Prix.

The Ferrari boss remained at the team’s Maranello base for the Turkish Grand Prix, though he did have the ability to talk to the drivers over team radio, which he did after the race when Charles Leclerc was venting over an error that saw him drop from P2 to P4 on the final lap.

Reports had emerged that Binotto again wouldn’t be with the Scuderia in Bahrain, round 15 of 17 in the 2020 season, and now Binotto himself has confirmed the news.

“I am happy that I do not need to be at the circuit. My role is to be present in difficult times,” he said in an interview with Sky Sports, as quoted by Motorsport.com.

“I knew the car was better and these results are welcome and I will not be at the next GP [in Bahrain]. Our drivers will do well. Our car has improved and they are more comfortable behind the wheel.

“Overall, we showed we have a competitive car. This is the most important thing, because it means that we understand which direction to go. The car has improved and that is a good sign.”

Sorry, I thought they'd increased them over the pressures already being used, hence the "More pressure increases?" indicating a query as to whether they were in addition to those already seen this year.

Why do you feel the need to make every post an attack on other people? No need for the 4th sentence in your post at all. You could have made a helpful post by stopping after the 3rd sentence rather than "having a go". I wasn't making any suggestion that the pressures were an attempt to deliberately slow the Mercs, only that it might do and others might benefit.

Latest forecasts I've studied show temperatures in the low to mid 70s (F) for the evening sessions.

Some forecasts have a 20% chance of precipitation on Saturday and 10% chance on Sunday, whereas others put the chance at 25% for both days.

The temperature forecasts are likely fairly accurate. Precipitation is a crapshoot, but I would be surprised if we see any meaningful rainfall either days.

I can't believe you used Fahrenheit. My disappointment is immeasurable.

Fahrenheit is used in the United States, its territories and associated states (all served by the U.S. National Weather Service), as well as the Cayman Islands and Liberia for everyday applications. For example, U.S. weather forecasts, food cooking, and freezing temperatures are typically given in degrees Fahrenheit. Scientists, such as meteorologists, use degrees Celsius or kelvin in all countries.

Or he's old and from the UK (where some old people still use Fahrenheit rather than that new fangled Celsius)

Long time, no see.

The anti-Fahrenheit bias is real. Fiancée is from a country that uses Celsius. Trying to keep my love of Fahrenheit alive.
