Latest forecasts I've studied show temperatures in the low to mid 70s (F) for the evening sessions.

Some forecasts have a 20% chance of precipitation on Saturday and 10% chance on Sunday, whereas others put the chance at 25% for both days.

The temperature forecasts are likely fairly accurate. Precipitation is a crapshoot, but I would be surprised if we see any meaningful rainfall either days.

I can't believe you used Fahrenheit. My disappointment is immeasurable.
Fahrenheit is used in the United States, its territories and associated states (all served by the U.S. National Weather Service), as well as the Cayman Islands and Liberia for everyday applications. For example, U.S. weather forecasts, food cooking, and freezing temperatures are typically given in degrees Fahrenheit. Scientists, such as meteorologists, use degrees Celsius or kelvin in all countries.

Conclusion from this quote: @Zibby43 lives in the US and is no scientist. :D

Wherever that quote was from almost had it right - except all meteorologists in the US issue their forecasts in F.

It would be hilarious if meteorologists here issued their forecasts in Celsius for a day. The confusion in the general public would be something else. Most folks can’t identify all 50 States lol.

As my good friend b2bL44 knows, I am well-versed in Celsius, but have a soft spot for Fahrenheit.

Here's what a typical forecast snapshot looks like in my neck of the woods. Not only do we use F here, but we also measure precipitation in inches. (Dramatic music plays.)

And back OT - as a general rule, it's actually very difficult to predict the conditions in Bahrain for this weekend until we get much closer during this mild time of year.

We expecting any tyre wear difficulty this weekend in the warm climate (assuming we avoid rain)?

Or we thinking C2 and C3 is a more than adequate race tyre?

In the past, this track has haunted Mercedes because it is very rear-limited.

They have had a propensity to dial in more understeer than they'd like in qualifying in order to protect the rear tires in the race.

So I definitely think tires will be something to watch, all throughout the field. The W11 seems to like warmer temperatures, and so does the Renault.

Isn't it the opposite though? The track is rear-limited due to the traction off the slow corners. They dial in understeer to protect the rears from sliding too much.

You’re 100% correct. It’s the exact-opposite - it’s the rears they want to protect.

I transposed the words in my head. Only thing I expressed correctly was the resultant understeer bias in the setup.

Going to edit to reflect that.

Not much difference between soft and medium tires around here, the hard is good for 1 stop. Historically the last few years the one stop has been marginal, so who knows maybe a two stopper will work.

Is he not reserve driver and Sim driver? possibly to have good handle on comparison with the sim, and to keep his licence eligible for a year longer
Possibly also because he was promised some car time?

So sad Kubica. What could have been. At least he can drive F1 again. Wonder how he compares to Latiffi.

WOW! Lewis doesn't know who Franz Tost is and even more hilarious is the stuff he said about Bottas!
