Looking at the picture of the End Plate, I also noticed the vortexes that are been created (thanks to the wet conditions)... You can see on the bottom right, the outwash from the front wing and on top another one which should be created by the bargeboards to seal the floor

Brightened up this high res front-view photo. There's definitely something going on in the bargeboards, but very hard to see from this angle. Maybe a two-layer boomerang like we saw some teams develop last year.

I definitely think there's some layering going on. Perhaps the top element of that double winglet in the front of the bargeboards connects with the sides of the bargeboard, and then swoops up to join the main boomerang element in the top.

yeah agree, even its a horible pic, there seem to be thre layers, the two clearly identified and then one behind the big boomerang where the 5fins are attached to

from fabrega, the 3rd element with the fins, also the mirror arms are angled down much more, were last year they where almost straight

this video also seems to always cut as soon as the bargeboards are coming into view. Coincidence?

I rather think the lower vortex is the one produced at the outboard end of the bargeboard rather than from the front wing. It has entrained the water lifted by the front wheel.

I believe the Racing Point concept is a very different concept and way to manage that “over cut” on the side pods... Yes, Mclaren also has one, but it’s a very different treatment of that area

All the other Merc cars have that slide down the back of the radiators in the pods. In my opinion, I don't see that in the MclLaren ... There is a little bit of it but not as pronounced.

The Car is narrower at the "Arrow" badges but wider at the Splunk and the shark fin has less fin, more stuff in it.

Maybe a conservative start for cooling puposes ??

Just observations on my behalf... your guess is as good as mine!

Wow, the wheelbase is noticeably longer!

These BB are an evolution of the 2020 design, some new shapes and vanes but nothing special.
