Whoever put out the 1,2,3 car markers needs to be given a tape measure. If Hamilton hadn't driven forward by a car's length Max would never have got in.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

That was more like it from Max. Didn't think Leclerc would end up P4, that's encouraging for Ferrari.

Tomorrow should be fun, hopefully its incident free.

4 tenths - that Red Bull is as quick as it appeared in testing and FPs.

Is it too early to say "it's the car!"
By how Alpaa Tauri is going, is it to early to say ''its the engine!!''

Yes, I enjoyed it too.

Vettel had to slow down for yellow flags. That's not what I call "outperform".
The grid position tells the story. Stroll has the edge on Vettel as many expected, myself included.

T1 and T4 should be interesting between Max and Lewis. I expect a safety car caused by silliness further back.

Great lap by Max, looked like HAM had a poor middle sector

Is it just the camera or is there a massive curve in the floor in front of HAM’s rear tyre (just watching him pull in to the 2nd position sign

Yeah, now wait for the haters to start claiming Hamilton hit it out the way as he was sulking

Alonso is so slow...

With Ocon P8 a top driver like RIC or past ALO could have been P6

Let’s wait until Barcelona to see the full picture of teams and drivers
Guy's old. Should have stayed retired and make room for the new generation....
The new generation team mate went out in Q1, while the old guy dragged that Alpine to Q3. Not too shabby.

Max will miss Perez being up there to help him. Mercedes at least have the chance to use both drivers to pressure Red Bull's pit strategy.

Personally I think Mercedes has the edge when it comes to the harder compounds.

This is what we want to see a good fight. 3 tenths is the closest we have seen in years. Clearly Mercedes is still the fastest their 2-3 suggests. Max dragged that lap out of the bag. Leclerc also in the hunt.

2 manufacturers fighting again.
