Lewis was abusing track limits for at least 8 laps, the gains he made there made the difference.
Everyone did it. so, no :)
Actually listen to the radio, Max was complaining that he wasn't while the Merc were.

Hamilton driver of the day, no question. Verstappen will get them in Imola. Perez looked good.
Yep. Perez is night and day difference to Albon. He is a great signing!
Several times Albon did same thing going up from below, nothing new here. He has to START up-there at the front.
His first qualification was disappointment, to say it mildly

Why didnt they have the celebrations?
I'm guessing it might've been out of respect for Murray Walker? Alternatively, Covid related... otherwise it was a bit surprising. And the Covid argument is a bit void since they were spraying the bubbly last year...

That was a great, great race. May this battle continue all year. Lewis certainly pulled that one out of the bag. The cars are very, very close. Max blew it and so did RBR. The Bottas option really played on RBR and made them doubt.
I think Bottas is going to have his best year.
The cars aren’t very, very close mate. The Red Bull is clearly faster. Nice try (again) though.

I assumed it may be for Murray Walker too, but who knows?

They don't use champagne at Bahrain and the stuff they use isn't so good for "spraying and playing".

Thats what happens when you make a car for just 1 person. This is now the 3rd teammate who can get nowhere near him. I think Verstappen and RedBull need to remember this when they start bitching that Verstappen is getting mugged by a double team all the time. You either make compromises so both can drive it or you don’t. RedBull clearly don’t.
Strongly disagree. It is up to the second driver to copy the lead driver's data traces. Same for Vettel at Ferrari, same for Verstappen senior at Benetton et al.

I agree. Gasly's recent comments about his stint at Redbull and the last 2 years' history suggest that indeed the team's entire focus seems to be on Verstappen and it is costing whoever is in that second seat.
This is unsubstantiated. Surely it up to Gasly to drive the car with the setup which Red Bull know works? Gasly has Verstappen's data traces right there to copy, just as Vettel had Ricciardo's data traces to copy, or Webber had Vettel's data traces to copy.

As long as it's carbonated, surely it should make no difference? :)

If the track wasn’t a parking lot, Max would have lost a wing trying to get by.

They need to enforce a pass back not a time penalty.

Rose water isn't as pressurized as champagne

ISTR the drivers don't like the stuff.

I would generally agree but it’s now 3 drivers. 1 who was quick then suddenly wasn't and then when put in another car is smashing it, 1 who looked quick and then suddenly didn’t and 1 with bags of experience. Surely as some point you have to ask why?

You are exaggerating. Today's race showed cars are close indeed.
