Look at this comment from Toto below. Merc basically has one arm tied behind the back! No way to compete. Another Freebie for RedBull (the fastest car by a mile now).

So every Merc fans shout out that Redbull is faster even though when a race with hard compunds coming around Merc is clearly faster and then its suddently a surprise.
2 races with softes compund and low speed corners, its the end of the world .

Redbull seem to be fastest on softer compund tires, and Merc on the harder.

Merc have been top of the class on hard compund since Hybrid era and it seem to be why they are 7 time WC

Redbull is the best car to have this year. You need a car that works at every track and the RB16 is that car. Mercedes car has fatal flaws. The RB16 is the most consistent car to have this year. It guaranteed 2nd row on every track.
I dont think Mercedes have a chance at podium on pace tomorrow. Some crashing will need to take place.
Lewis needs to hold on to be within 20 points of Max by midseaon at least. This year is Redbull's to lose.

I don't understand why people write off Mercedes. They seem to have best long run pace, on a circuit where it is easy to overtake, and may well have best tire wear. Many unknowns still, but they could certainly win, even dominant.

Monday's headlines could be anything from "youngsters take over f1, Hamilton past his prime" up to "Superb win from Hamilton in inferior car"

In the past, higher pressures have caused Mercedes to *over-heat* the tires, as the contact patch is reduced with higher inflation. 70th Anniversary GP 2020 comes to mind.

Will be interesting to see what effect this has. The teams already getting the tires up to speed quickly will have to worry about over-heating the rears now.

They will use new engines. My understanding is that it's normal, since all Ferrari powered cars will have new units.
IIRC Mercedes too
