He "games" the starting line each race that's why. I wonder why the other drivers don't do it too.El Scorchio wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 15:34I hope no one has a bad lunch- food poisoning would be the last thing any of them needsdans79 wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 15:31Since Lewis is P2 he will be on the inside I believe so if he gets a really good launch Charles has to be careful on the outside, and if he gets a bad lunch Max has to be careful on the outside.El Scorchio wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 15:29
The start is going to be a thriller. Verstappen will not be shy and not will LeClerc. I can see Hamilton conceding second place and concentrating on the long game. I just hope LeClerc and Verstappen don’t have a d*** waving competition and end up shooting themselves in the foot.
But I know what you mean.
Verstappen’s starts have been superb this season so he could be right there. Still wondering if any other cars are going to copy his clever trick of getting a few extra inches in the grid box.
Ahh.. good point!
Exactly! I think it’s very smart and I have no idea why they haven’t all started doing it.PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 15:46He "games" the starting line each race that's why. How?
Are you kidding?! I love me a good joke here and there, that red flag ruined everyone's final attempt. Once again fate seems to stop the RBR from qualifying where it's supposed to. Enjoy the show man, it's a long race, a lot can happen, the wind is catching people out in turn 15 and turn 4. I believe it has to do with the way the wind interacts on track. Those turns have run off that allows wind to channel through due to the walls, and the track itself also has wind being channeled. When they meet they create a gust of recirculation at the apex of the corner partly stalling the aero. Normally the cars have a head, or right side cross wind through those corners, but sometimes the wind changes direction.McMika98 wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 15:41Gasly almost quicker than Max on a sister car, if only he had a bit of a slipstream he would be in the front. Perez for all the talk failed to deliver again, the second car is cursed. Gasly on same car would probably be in same position.
Leclerc is a star in the making, Hamilton pulled something out should be an easy win for him tomorrow.
On the other hand you have scrubbed(the starting tire) and harder compounds which usually are harder to warm up.
He did have "a bit" of slipstream from Tsunoda in front of him.McMika98 wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 15:41Gasly almost quicker than Max on a sister car, if only he had a bit of a slipstream he would be in the front. Yeah, I think Perez could make some nice inroads tomorrow during the race.godlameroso wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 15:54Are you kidding?! The drivers will have to be mindful of that in the race because they can easily get caught out in those corners.
Just admit it, Redbull should have dominated this track, yet a ferrari mclaren and alpha tauri split them.godlameroso wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 15:54Once again fate seems to stop the RBR from qualifying where it's supposed to. I think I heard Lewis say on the radio that he wasn't at the ideal distance for the tow, so didn't get the full benefit of it.
