Most cars go three wheeler in 5
Nice!

F1 cars seem to be very, very, very softly sprung compared to the F2 cars. F2 cars were lifting wheels everywhere at Monaco.

The new profile in corner 5 is absolutely terrible, it's like there's a massive hole in the track ...
Strongly disagree. Why should F1 tracks be perfectly smooth?

Soften up the springs to work the track surface better if desired. :D

Well they have smoothed the track everywhere else but for some reason decided to have that massive dip in that one corner ...

That rumble strip on the outside of 3 (?) is also really terrible, ripping parts off cars one after the other, Max wasn't even too wide (still on the white line) and yet he lost a piece of carbon - brilliant radio though from RBR, sarcastically asking whether they'll be able to get the part back after the session because they're short on that particular part.

Interesting how Red Bull are miles behind Mercedes now they cant cheat with their flexi rear wing or tyre pressure tactic combined with all the work Mercedes have done over the break...looks like a game changer so far

Per Mercedes themselves, the Flexi wings had no impact at Monaco. At Baku its arguable how much of an advantage they offered but Mercedes wings were flexing just as much as Red Bull's there. Paul Ricard was expected to suit Mercedes and we are seeing just that.

How many times do we have to explain that abiding by the rules was not cheating? The rules were changed mid-season, and hence RB had to adapt wings. Like party modes had to be adapted previously.

And did you have any doubt Mercedes would be better at this track? They were generally faster this year, so far. Only at the street circuits RB could get their car to work better.

The rules have not been changed mid season, the tests have been changed to enforce the rules that already existed.

Party modes has absolutely nothing to do with it.

If Lewis really did 2 stabs at a hot lap like they just claimed, then he has a lot of extra pace in hand, considering these tires can barely make it through the first 2 sectors without dieing.

He just said on the radio that there's definitely something not right with the car.

Did Crofty just say Bottas had the chassis Hamilton used in Baku? Anyone have news on this?

hi all,

So it seems 5 teams cheat on pressures: the loophole is in the race, only the tires used at the start are checked by the FIA while those mounted in the pitstops are not.
Obviously the advantages in the race are greater durability and better performance lap after lap.

Can we identify the teams by checking the difference in performance between the first and second race stints?
Ferrari is not cheating so can be a term of comparison: in my opinion the teams involved are Rbr, TR, AM, Mercedes and Mclaren.
