Is that dropping, or rising ? I guess the former ?

Going to put this out there now: I think Russell is the quickest driver in F1 over a single lap. He got the Williams in to Q3 and then beat "faster cars".

I think, given equal cars, Russell would beat Lewis and Max, hands down.
Mnah .. in equal cars there'd be 4/5 guys equally good and only punished for the slightest mistake they'd make; just a lottery.

He got 7th because he got the max out of the car whereas the others didn't. No more complicated than that.
How is that a lottery? That's the SKILL!

A lottery is who is closest to the pits when the Safety Car is deployed...
Lottery in the sense that the outcome would differ every time as the differences are that small. Everyone makes mistakes when on the edge, I believe there's about 4/5 guys with an overall equal skillset.

Where did Latifi finish in the same car?

You realize we’re talking about a Williams? It’s improved, but GR is on fire. If he was in a McLaren right now, people would be saying “Lando who?”
Well, Latifi apparently didn't extract everything from the package (car/driver/track/weather etc),

That's right. It was 45C in FP2.

This is going to be such an anticlimax when the SC is out on lap one.

Interestingly, very less number of crew on the grid for this format! Wonder why that is.

I don't watch sky but when he was with channel 4 I found Chandhock to be engaging and knowledgable. Maybe some editorial decisions affect his content.
On F1´s official video, it´s clear that RB gained time on the first 2 slow corners but HAM arrived there earlier due to his straight speed advantage. Chandok tried to make it look like as if LH drove better around there and that´s where his mighty S1 came from. He also completely missed the advantage that RB has on the corners.

But I just wanna post publicly my prediction of this sprint QLF being a total fiasco. [-o<

Aren't you allowed to change direction only once on the straight 🤔

Max was weaving when Hamilton was close by. That's a clear infringement.

Brundle and Croft doing everything they can to make this seem exciting.

Essentially this is just giving us an idea of what tomorrow is going to be like, maybe even more boring as now they will start in order of pace.

This is just so pointless in my opinion. With no pit stops to mix things up the front is basically locked out now.
