Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen came together in the first lap of the British Grand Prix, and despite a penalty, the reigning World Champion won his home race. Charles Leclerc finished a close second as Bottas came home in third.
Is that dropping, or rising ? I guess the former ?
Lottery in the sense that the outcome would differ every time as the differences are that small. I think, given equal cars, Russell would beat Lewis and Max, hands down.
He got 7th because he got the max out of the car whereas the others didn't. No more complicated than that.
A lottery is who is closest to the pits when the Safety Car is deployed...

You realize we’re talking about a Williams? It’s improved, but GR is on fire. If he was in a McLaren right now, people would be saying “Lando who?”
On F1´s official video, it´s clear that RB gained time on the first 2 slow corners but HAM arrived there earlier due to his straight speed advantage. Chandok tried to make it look like as if LH drove better around there and that´s where his mighty S1 came from. He also completely missed the advantage that RB has on the corners.
