Oh well Verstappen inches 5 points closer to the championship lead. About as many inches of rain that have fallen this weekend at Spa.

100% those parade laps just now were for contractual implications.

It's going to be disgraceful if George celebrates this second place. There wasn't even a race ffs.
He just did that
I think he was celebrating the points more than the position.
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

Right, votes for driver of the day?
duh, Niki, obviously. The guy just did the fastest lap of the race while driving F1´s worst car(by far) :P

Btw, those GP3 kids are damn brave. They raced on similar conditions. I guess they are the best drivers in the world

Yeah, this is just political BS. They insured they did just enough laps behind the safety safety car that they could claim a race was run.

No one can convince me otherwise that it isn't BS because they didn't do a single racing lap.

it is actually a very positive day for Lewis because he still leads the Championship and Max only gained 5 points compared to 7 if Lewis finished 2nd with that low downforce set up

Lewis continuing his lucky streak of losing a lesser amount of points, when underdelivering.
Given he was setup for the race and not qualifying I think it's not unreasonable to think he was actually on for the win if the weather was ok.

So, a Williams on the podium, Mazepin fastest lap, Massi making rules up as he goes, this is a yoke right?

George Russell is celebrating, but he does deserve to celebrate it he dialed the car in and was ahead of several "more competitive" cars...But he doesn't deserve 9 points...we also all know if all it takes is two laps to classify drivers then what's the point of having a race - for the show?. The quota should be changed to 75% for half points and 90% for full points, otherwise nothing, they shouldn't be awarding prizes for technically not competing for more than 5%of the race distance if this is actually a sport and not just a show.

Absolutely. I bet this was first and foremost a financial decision.

Driver of the day is Perez.

He lost free points for RBR by crashing on the way to the grid.

Underdelivered? We didn't have a race but keep letting Lewis live rent free in your head, oh and by the way Lewis still leads the Championship

Nice work Lewis. Great comment on behalf of the fans getting their money back. Kudos.

Lewis with the “I hope fans get their money back”. I agree, but it should come from Liberty’s coffers, not the track.

PR stunt.

Why should they get a refund for the weather. It's not the fault of the track, FIA or F1.
