I am fine with cancelling a race due to bad conditions. What is absolutely a farce and pure hypocrisy is then to ignore that exact same logic pure for money. "We can't risk drivers, unless there is money on the line."

I hope this is true and they can be sued. Hopefully resulting in refund or free tickets for the fans.. financial responsibility should be with FIA/F1 not with the track. Also, embarrassing that Masi has no clarity on rules either to respond to couple of teams’ questions.

Well they can scrap the three hour rule seen as it can be overruled very simply if need be so what’s the point of it?

Fair enough for attempting to run the race first time round. They had to try it.

There needs to be some sort of inquest into the decision making process for the second time the cars left the pits. They need to explain why, with no break in the weather coming at all, they took the cars out, did the minimum required to label it a ‘race’ and no more before immediately abandoning it.

Having been to cricket matches, I'm a bit twitchy. I've spent an entire day in the rain and themn they did 10 overs at the end of the day in the same conditions just so they didn't have to refund.

I interpret the rules in the same way as quoted by Medland. Essentially, the 2 rules are separate - 6.5 determines whether points should be awarded and 42.13 determines the classification

The fact that it’s not clear cut, and in fact, is sort of paradoxical, means that teams that lost out today are going to challenge this determination.

I now think Indy 2005 is completely off the hook compared to today.

He underdelivered yesterday - even being beaten by George Russell in hugely inferior car - to me this is underdelivering. It had nothing to do with fanboyism - as you displayed with your comment.

Not just teams. TV channels paying to broadcast F1 will have their lawyers on this.
