In this drone footage from Peter Boot from 7.30 p.m. last night, you can see what the track currently looks like with all the trucks arriving and other things.

Using the F1 game as a barometer, the main issue is the narrowness. I still think there is a good chance of a decent race though, as teams won't have a lot of data, tyre wear could be massive, and it could rain.
Stuff will happen. Like Imola Zandvoort should punish mistakes, people will go off and pay heavily for tiny errors.

Looking forward to it, qualy should be incredible, hope it doesn’t rain.

NB: Russell was 2nd in the 2015 Zandvoort F3 Masters behind a vastly more experienced Antonio Giovinazzi.

Here in NL we have a (quite stupid I must admit) Friday night F1 talkshow (F1 café) and they (guest of the week) usually do a lap around Zandvoort in the f1 game and in a raceseat with hydraulics. Last weekend Renger van der Zande raced and it looks quite intense. At least qualy will be a beast.

I dunno. Will have to see, but my feeling says that the track is too small, too tight to race F1 cars on.

Hoping cars don't go off at Scheivlak, because then I don't wanna know where the car will be.
Definitely. It is very much on the same level as Brands Hatch. Will be a boring race on sunday. Lets hope saturday is a good one.

This morning.

Ferrari did not follow the diversion route, but took the shortest route, which almost failed.

I want to have faith like that truck driver :D

Turn 7 will be flat on lowish fuel, brief lift on full tank. It's a very Pouhon like corner, you have to have ultra precise turn in at very high speeds. The second DRS zone is more useless than the first one in Turkey. The best part of today is I learned how to say "corner" in Dutch, so now I know how to say corner in 5 languages.

Davina Michelle will sing the National Anthem.

This is the F1 song for the cancelled 2020 GP.

"Beat Me (Official Song F1 Dutch Grand Prix) - Davina Michelle"

Did Max Mosley have a hand in writing this?!!

Do we have any historic data for expected lap-times and pit strategies?
Working on it. Some early observations, for me, on full tank with the equivalent medium tire, not seeing a lot of tire wear, some front graining because there are only 3 left hand corners(bocht), I'm getting mid to low 15's, with low tire wear I wind up mid 14's about 12-13 laps in, I haven't done a full stint, but I'm guessing the leaders will be somewhere around thereabouts. Given early impressions, a one stop if it's dry is likely.

Weatherwise any rain will be towards the end of the race. Spa 2008 vibes? Unsure.

The court dismissed a protest from an environmental action group regarding the impact of nitrogen emissions from the GP on the surrounding nature. That should clear any potential legal hurdles that could still obstruct the event.

Looks like overtakes will be at premium here. Usually that way in sims. Quali will be fun though. Very Hungary-like.

Can we leave the Max vs Lewis crap at the door before we have even started this time please?

Edit: Looks like the mods did that for me! Thank you guys.

Looks like the track is similar to Hungary in it's characteristics, lots of corners with zero breaks for the drivers.
