That is inconceivable in some people's universe.Zynerji wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 16:33Well, if Perez has been proven to only be able to extract less than 100% of the RB16B, why is it impossible for Hamilton/Bottas to be below 100% in the Merc?Just_a_fan wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 16:30It's plainly obvious that the Red Bull is the quicker car.grubschumi13 wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 16:23This season has been Max vs Mercedes. Really he is putting that RBR where it does not belong.
No driver can driver faster than the car can go. It's simply impossible. The best drivers get the most from the car available to them. That's always been the way since day one of motor racing.
Its all down to the extraction of potential. None of them are EVER truly at 100%!!
Didnt he improved 0,038s - the same gap that Lewis ended behind?JordanMugen wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 16:30True. Thankfully it wasn't a routine Hamilton pole, as it has been for so many years and as it would have been if Red Bull, Honda and Verstappen didn't have the pace. Fortunately they do have the pace, and the Red Bull - Honda & Verstappen combo is simply lovely.godlameroso wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 16:27LMAO as if that would ever happen. Good job by Hamilton, I look forward to a good race.

I think your find its Max Vs Lewis, Bottas and Perez equally uselessgrubschumi13 wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 16:23This season has been Max vs Mercedes. Really he is putting that RBR where it does not belong.
No, Max is a bit faster than Lewis, but Merceds is a bit faster than RB.xaero wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 16:25which world you are in. RB is a at least a notch faster than merc. 6 poles in last 7 races.grubschumi13 wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 16:23This season has been Max vs Mercedes. Really he is putting that RBR where it does not belong.

Of course none of them get 100%. The best just get closer to it. And then there are those that can get close for a lap, others that can also do it for multiple laps. Max and Lewis are in that latter camp. They are just that bit better than most others.Zynerji wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 16:33Well, if Perez has been proven to only be able to extract less than 100% of the RB16B, why is it impossible for Hamilton/Bottas to be below 100% in the Merc?Just_a_fan wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 16:30It's plainly obvious that the Red Bull is the quicker car.grubschumi13 wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 16:23This season has been Max vs Mercedes. Uh. Hamilton and Bottas has been driving this line of car for five years now? ?Zynerji wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 16:33Well, if Perez has been proven to only be able to extract less than 100% of the RB16B, why is it impossible for Hamilton/Bottas to be below 100% in the Merc?Just_a_fan wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 16:30It's plainly obvious that the Red Bull is the quicker car.grubschumi13 wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 16:23This season has been Max vs Mercedes. That is probably the biggest issue with trying to compare the cars that are close. For all we know the Red Bulls pace could be closer to Perez and Max could be pulling it further. I still have very little idea where the Williams is comparatively because of the gulf between Russell and Latifi.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 16:39Of course none of them get 100%.
