P2 and P3 - we could put Max under big pressure in T1 tomorrow.

If we could jump Max we could cause some real headaches for both him and Lewis.

These sprint races are much more interesting in theory than in reality. Because they form the grid for the "big points race" no one takes any risk. Not sure what they can change about it.

This is Ricciardo's time to shine. Verstappen cannot risk a collision in T1, Ricciardo should just tell him outright he is dive bombing at start and to be ready for it. :D

Ricciardo looks on form, hopefully it sticks.

Congratulations to Daniel, Lando and the whole team for getting one more championship point who might as well make the difference for 3rd in the end and tomorrow Daniel is on the front row next to Max and Lando is on the clean side. What is the strategy for tomorrow's race?

Tomorrow Daniel will show Max how real racecraft and starts are made.

I think the Mclaren is actually the quickest car of the season

During the broadcast they said it is the first time McLaren starts from the front row since Mexico 2018? (IIRC), I'm looking at it doesn't seem to be the case. Am I misremembering or they made a mistake?

When did they last start from front row?

Im not sure. I checked Mexico GP 2018 but it wasn't the case. The car in 2018 didn't have the speed for even 4th row. Only Fernando Alonso managed in 2 or 3 occasions to put the car to 5th place in Qualifying.

I believe the confusion is that in Mexico 2018, both Max and Daniel were on the front row and that was the last time Ricciardo was on the front row for the start of a GP

And this is the first time since Brazil 2012 that McLaren has 2 cars in the top 3 for the start of a GP

Mega start from Dan almost got Max into T1. Awesome to have a McLaren on the front row and starting 2 and 3. Dan back in form.

I think we can put to rest any talk of Gasly being a better fit than Dan, that was a bit dumb running into the back of Dan's car. In contrast Ricciardo's wheel to wheel is one of the best out there he rarely puts a foot wrong. Can't wait for the race, the McLaren is mighty off the line. We could cause some real headaches for Max and Lewis if we can be in front on the first lap.

What a great result for Mclaren. Solid chance of race win & if not atleast chance of a double podium - Will be great to see Norris & Ricciardo celebrating together for Mclaren !

I've always thought that Mclaren can do a double podium in Monza !

It's not going to be easy, but there is a decent chance of a podium. Guys need to take the mindset that Verstappen/Hamilton have lot more to lose and just drive with more aggression than they are allowed to. That's the way you can keep a faster car behind.

Great job from both RIC and NOR, it will be great to see Mclaren on the front row tomorrow, I think Button in the Mclaren HONDA was 2nd on the A1 ring in 2016/7?, Since then we haven't been at the front. Also the old rivalry between RIC and VER will be back for the start as well.
