McLaren app is saying Piastri had damage.
His engineer told him on the cool down lap that they could see damage in the aero data.
Thanks. I’ve gotten into the bad habit over the years of switching off immediately after I see the cars cross the line. I really should stick around to hear what they say on the cool down lap.

I wait for the YouTube video's of the team to driver comm's from F1 - they don't normally take long to come out after a race. eg:

Tsunodo demanding a penalty for Piastri is ridiculous - that guy is just hot headed in the car, someone needs to have a word

Cheers for that. Nice of Piastri's engineer to thank him again for letting Lando through, as that worked out really well for the team.

from the collision with Tsunoda, according to AMuS. So tbh, it doesn't quite explain why he was fairly slow the 50 laps before as well.

He also collected damage earlier in the race - possibly from the debris left by Checo being an idiot.

The said on Team Stream that he had damage from the start and from in the race, which I assume is from Debris and from Yuki. I did take a look at Russel v Piastri at the start and there is a moment where they could be contact, but I don't think so, it looks to be Russell on the kerbs.

I think it has to mean that the team has no plan to take an engine in the remaining 3 races.

Great recovery drive by NOR & solid race by PIA.....

We need to start the season like this if we want a few wins in 2024, the pack is now much much closer.

Should have been a podium with clean qualifying if we go off the last Norris stint. But the races coming up will be good as well - nothing stands out at Brazil as being particularly bad for the car. Not sure about Vegas or Abu Dhabi
Lando has said that he isn’t looking forward to Brazil🤷🏼‍♂️
I can't remember the race Lando was looking forward to

In their post race video message, both Lando and Oscar had a little chuckle about saying "we won't be good" at a track. They said that they are still getting used to being more optimistic and that now when they say "we won't be that good" the mean they will not be fighting for 1st or 2nd spot, but rather that they will be 5-6th.

So yeah - kind of a mindset shift is needed.
