Sometimes I can't tell what they are speaking about so this will help a lot. And I'm not deaf either!
Yes ive done replays at times and still cant make sense so i wait for the commentators to make a cheeky comment to help me deduct the meaning of the words i wasnt able to understand. After which i piece the whole thing together and then continue to enjoy racing... So this speeds that up for me. Some driver accents over the radio dont translate well but i thank them for speaking English at least they arent speaking their native languages.

I'd prefer the guy from the US grandprix whose only contribution was to repeatedly say "Neeeeeaaaaaawwwwwww" when the cars passed the commentary box over David Croft. I feel he'd bring the same energy plus we'd get a more insightful commentary.
Hate to have to post a reply just to say this, but can’t stress to you enough how much I love what you just said
I find Brundle's extreme bias towards British drivers utterly completely shameful and cringe, but other than that, I think everyone is doing a terrific job! (That includes Brundle, obviously)
Well, he is a British commentator on a British network. What do you expect? It was the same with Walker and Schumacher vs Hill.

In fact I think it is the fault of people expecting him to be unbiased. How naive are you? He is a commentator, not a FIa-member!

True GOATs don’t need the help of superior material to win.

Tom Brady, Usain Bolt are true GOATs.

Brundle is the only part of sky coverage I enjoy. I think I’m in a minority (?) but when he’s done sky will be 100% verifiably intolerable.

Is it wrong that I preferred James Allen to David Croft?

Sad I saw this message so late, it is the best thing written about crofty I have ever read.

The graphic will show it as:-
"This is a little frustrating."
"I feel that top media-personality @LewisHamilton44 could have left slightly more room so that our Pirelli tyres, 'Pirelli: power without control is nothing', didn't make contact?"
"It'll be tough from here but, with the help of Ferrari and their key advertising partners, I'm confident I can still make it!"

Shouldn't the teams (ordered by the FIA) in Austria all remain separated? In their own "bubble"?
No contact between members and all in different hotels in the vicinity due to contamination risk?
.............
I saw on Instagram that Bottas and his girlfriend Tiffany Cromwell were on an island near Cannes on Monday
and had a pizza with her yesterday in Monaco.
Does Mercedes not have to adhere to those strict measures to become infected somewhere ???
There is a difference here.

Vettel isn't part of the Red Bull 'bubble'.

Bottas' girlfriend was at the race last weekend and spending time with him so she's clearly part of the Merc 'bubble'. Provided they distanced wherever they went then there shouldn't be a problem
Unless Roscoe has been out to a bar or shopping(!), I'd say it's highly unlikely he risks passing on any infection to Hamilton. Less in fact than any driver returning home to a wife and children, which I'd be willing to bet several F1 staff did.

They will of course all be tested again and again anyway, but you can't imprison all the drivers and staff at the racetrack between races. The drivers know the risk to them personally if they test positive, so I think it's highly unlikely they'd put themselves in a position of risk- particularly the Merc drivers if we assume one of them is likely to be champion all things being equal.

By: Jonathan Noble Jul 9, 2020, 6:39 PM. Mercedes, Ferrari set for COVID protocols warning

Ferrari and Mercedes are set to be warned by the FIA about ensuring they strictly follow Formula 1's coronavirus protocols, after Charles Leclerc and Valtteri Bottas returned to Monaco following the Austrian GP.

With the FIA imposing strict social bubbles to limit the chances of an infection spreading in the paddock, the governing body's COVID-19 delegate has been alerted about both Leclerc and Bottas leaving the country after last weekend's race.

While the Code of Conduct does not prevent F1 attendees from travelling away from venues between races, it is strict about them staying within their own social bubbles and not mixing with anyone outside them.

Bottas posted on social media about enjoying time out in Monaco, while Leclerc was pictured with friends and fans - including one shot where no one was wearing a mask.

The FIA's Code of Conduct leaves the door open for repeated breaches of the Code to be reported to the Stewards.

It states: "Where the COVID-19 Delegate considers that a Stakeholder has deliberately or seriously or repeatedly breached the COVID-19 Code, the COVID-19 Delegate shall submit a report to the Stewards, who shall proceed in accordance with Article 11.9 of the International Sporting Code."

Moving on to something that actually matters, looks like race day won't be anything like Friday, so again not much to be learned about race conditions. Furthermore it's looking like a wet qualifying, this could certainly shake up the grid. Track conditions are much more conductive to lap time when it's wet, timing your lap when the track is at it's driest is huge.

Driver skill as well, because over such a short lap, any mistake has huge costs.

Interested to see where Mercedes use DAS in the wet, probably on the warm up lap to get more heat into the tyres.

What is with LEC and the bandana look? Did he join a mid 90’s boyband?

Looks wet from this afternoon through to Saturday evening. If it’s thunderstorms it could be very localised though.Dry Sunday.
