Scuderia Ferrari SF71H

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

So, is the RW new too since it's painted with flo-viz?
Maybe, but they also could test the effects of the changes on the car downstream, or simply verify the data from the wind tunnel on the different track.
or impact of the new mirrors holders.

Longer and reshaped vertical slots in RW endplate.

Is it ok to mention that the team who advocated the halo, also has the most developed halo aero solutions, and perhaps a sidepod design built around the device?

It's like Merc sitting in engine talks pre-2014, helping with the wording around DI and electric turbocompounding. 8)

I'm pretty sure the halo was a Mercedes design though

Isn't this a new chassis? Looks less tight.

You’re right, the rear opening on the engine cover is definitely sitting higher... could just be a cooling requirement here as it’s much warmer than Baku was

Diffuser is going towards even more aggressive sideways expansion, instead of upward (like classic designs usually do). This is visible with more taper on narrower central section, as well as on outboard trailing edges. Flaps around diffuser trailing edge getting even bigger as well, to enhance this effect even more. It's not surprising to see this development direction on these cars, allowed diffuser height is clearly not enough for their potential.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

According to AMUS, their rear wing mirror from Monaco onwards will be deemed illegal

Yes, the halo mounted mirror and its wing are totally legal, but as ferrari were quicker off the mark than others, the other teams managed to get it banned. Jealousy knows no bounds!
