If that dont work, their old friend Jon Toddy will help them out!!! but agree, the car sounds like it is running some form of Traction Control (Legal or not).

Really? :)

PS and why I don't always hear that noise at lowest gears?
Mainly because it depends on where the driver has got his right foot.
At a flapping track like Fiorano the slow corners are well below full throttle, so no noticable traction limiting electronic delay.
But isn't the sole purpose of TC is to makes drivers job on right foot easier?

Still I have to ask again, can you prove with calculations that it is possible to get wheelspin at 7th gear?

Between 3:10 / 3:17 it looks as if he is trying to see what happens when he spins his wheels? Maybe testing the traction control?

Nope only rev limiter and slight throttle off misfire, not the same at all.

The camera is not fitted on helmet either.
Still there's fluttering sound at the upshifts.

no where near the same and the timing on the Alonso tape is very precise and specific. It needs explaining.

I like a Ferrari conspiracy as much as the next McLaren fan, but I'm not buying into the traction control guff.

If anything, you'd hear the fluttering more in the lower gears, and it's not there 2nd to 5th is very short, it's only 6 and 7 that there is noticeable flutter / gap.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the Ferrari being geared short, and that fluttering you're hearing is the gearbox complaining about it.
Yer.

If Alonso is feathering the throttle on the slow stuff (he is not racing or qualifying) any traction limiter would not activate.
The flutter is after the upshifts and is not the rev limiter.
So try another explanation.

Umm... so why is he NOT feathering a throttle at higher gears. Besides you still haven't said why there would be a wheelspin at 7th? Ever seen onboard video with telemetry? Guys are always pedal to the metal at 7th!

An addition to the Fuel saving mode? How many times does a driver change gears in a race?
For Sure!!
