Red Bull seems to be quite upset. More then what i´ve seen before actually.

http://www.gptoday.com/full_story/view/ ... FIA_rules/
The newspaper claims that Red Bull are considering an open challenge to the authority of the FIA by staging its own illegal test, exactly mirroring the actions of Mercedes, and are quite willing to risk a similar reprimand for doing so. The benefits of a private test of that kind would outweigh those gained from the young drivers' test.
Without Pirelli? I can´t imagine Pirelli doing the same thing again and get reprimanded again.

If Red Bull decide to do this test, it's a Red bull test.....
I'm sure Pirelli will be most forthcoming to Red Bull inspite of their fanning the flames of this situation.

Pirelli will not participate in that, so red bull will be into more serious problems if they actually do that. Probably just some mud throwing; no idiot in that paddock would be foolish enough to first announce they will do the same type of test and actually going ahead with it.

Why bother anyway? They have a legal test coming up, in which they can potentionally rack up much more kms.

Re: Pirelli 2013

As mentioned before Pirelli are not likely to take part in this, but also Mercedes stance was that they had no ill intent and the situation was down to misunderstanding of what is legal and what's not. Because they got reprimand and that ban (even if that's a minor punishment) it is now clear that such test is illegal.
In case of possible RB test it would be a clear action against the consensus. Not only they would not have an excuse of misunderstanding in their defence, they can be punished for the famous "putting the sport in disrepute" article.

Pirelli won't supply them with tires for such test. It's just more Red-Bullshxt.

I think it is journoshit. Some people who never see a paddock have to fill their pages and are making up such nonsense by cobbling together some original quotes with their own speculations. Red Bull have quickly denied.

"How can a reprimand be enough to punish a team that struggled at the Spanish Grand Prix, tested and then won in Monaco?" That quote is ridiculous. Mercedes almost won Monaco last season and had been in pole position for several races before the test. I can't take that argument seriously. I have more questions about Ferrari's secret tire test and subsequent race win.

It does not say so in the quotation. They say that 18 inch would be interesting. The current 13 inch would not be interesting.

The real F1 fan, will note how Canada and Monaco aren't demanding on the Pirelli tyre as Spain.
The real F1 fan would also note that the W04 has shown very good single lap pace.
Allied to this, Hamilton had some podiums before the Spanish GP.

@cam
Not to bring in to disrepute what you are saying, but it seems like you are unhappy with the decision en extremis.
I wonder, with all facts being brought to light why the FIA paid a third of the legal bills?
Fair question.

Thats the same as they said several years ago. I would also like 18's instead of 13's. Its a size you connect more with street cars. And it removes alot of suspension from the tires.

It's a size connected more with low volume UHP street cars, yes (the kind that often see more time in the garage or cruising around rather than actually at the track). A very large proportion of consumer vehicles globally are on relatively small bead diameter wheels.
