So what about Gasly's case?
Can hardly tell from this angle. For Max there's a side angle which shows his front left is squarely on the white line.wogx wrote: ↑02 Apr 2023, 10:20So what about Gasly's case?

Max is definitely OK, Gasly is a bit more marginal but I believe he is fine as well.Cs98 wrote: ↑02 Apr 2023, 10:25Can hardly tell from this angle. For Max there's a side angle which shows his front left is squarely on the white line.wogx wrote: ↑02 Apr 2023, 10:20So what about Gasly's case?

if there was a wall there sainz would have cut the corner tighter .but since it was a car that happened to be the one that he needed to get past he didnt. not saying that he did it intentionally, but being too competitive to need to avoid other cars isnt an excuse. look at the overhead view, he drove straight into him with plenty of room on the inside to avoid, he just didnt feel the need to.
the live timing replay is available now. Everyone made it to minisector #2, so as far as I can see, this should have been the restart order then (minus crashed cars):search wrote: ↑02 Apr 2023, 10:12thinking about it, maybe the emphasis is on "all cars" there, and Sargeant probably didn't go any further than mini sector 1, if at all.search wrote: ↑02 Apr 2023, 09:47here are the current rules, from the 2023 sporting regulations:
"In all cases the order will be taken at the last point at which it was possible to determine the position of all cars. All such cars will then be permitted to resume the sprint session or the race."
So imo the one they finished with is clearly incorrect.
Does anyone remember in the Silverstone case whether it was because they didn't reach a mini sector or an entire sector?search wrote: ↑02 Apr 2023, 10:40the live timing replay is available now. so Hülkenberg ahead of Norris, and Tsunoda ahead of PIA and ZHO
If they ban tire warmers then tyres should be much softer.GrizzleBoy wrote: ↑02 Apr 2023, 10:47Seems like Lewis' criticism of the tyre warmer ban has been vindicated then with both Max and 'Nando criticising the FIA for having the teams restart on cold tyres.
I think back then it was like today, while in Bahrain (when Grosjean crashed) they used the mini sector to set the order for the restart. No idea why there was a difference. From the wording of the rules, using the mini sector would make more sense.BlueCheetah66 wrote: ↑02 Apr 2023, 10:45Does anyone remember in the Silverstone case whether it was because they didn't reach a mini sector or an entire sector?search wrote: ↑02 Apr 2023, 10:40the live timing replay is available now.
