Yes the championship lead is 62 points rather than 63. Definitely worth sacrificing a podium over

Lol at wolff screaming on the radio. I bet Horner is enjoying this haha
This didn't happen though?
It did.
I don't think Horner is quite so happy at this point.

Random thought... and feel free to call me unsafe, but... after Charles spun off into the barriers, was it a bit too eager to call the Safety Car instead of the Virtual Safety Car?

Rosberg said what everyone thinks but avoided talking about

and Russel is just.......
Very lucky not to get a penalty
I can't even imagine what he was mumbling about on the radio, he had absolutely no business being there and then left no room, basically created collision situation, should have received something like a warning, not a penalty, but warning from stewards, that was unacceptable move, especially coupled with moaning on the radio, he seems to think he had legit claim to that corner
I think it was just a racing incident but leaning heavily towards Russels fault he has nothing to complain about. Russell gets 3rd in the end anyway

I think there is some trickery/exploit going on with VSC timings, something in that system doesn't quite work, or the driver in front is doing something wrong, which allows for the rear car to have speed differential when VSC ends gaining a lot of time instantly, I remember Verstappen gaining 1.5 or 2sec even at one time against Hamilton last season in an odd way under VSC

At a guess. With Charles car fairly buried in the wall it was likey to take longer to get him out. Maybe in Charles needed help etc

Boring race, one overtake on a virtual s/c, how lame. Perez is the dirtiest driver in the field.

Look forward to Spa with the new rules.

Agreed, there is definitely some trickery to be had, given Russell dropped way back then sped back up.

It should just be a pit limiter style rather than timings.

Even when Sainz was telling the team to pit, I was disagreeing with it... made absolutely no sense with just over 10 laps to go.

Is his Ferrari caving into what Sainz was telling them now?
Yeah, pitting him with 15 laps to go, makes sense.
With 10, right after getting past...

Checo and Russell were definitely up to some weird stuff, first it looked like they were back to racing as soon as the "VSC ending" came through, it looked like they floored it and where jostling.

And at the actual end Perez just...
