Ferrari are running detuned engines. It will hurt them.

.
Why should they run detuned engines?
It was extremely humid in Singapore and terribly hot and their engines proved to be very reliable during a loooong race.

Ferrari have reliability troubles. I think in the long run, Ferrari will have to be realistic with what they can achieve with the engine. I'm sure that Honda, Renault and Mercedes can turn up the engine to the point that it will explode as well but each manufacturer has to be realistic about what is sustainable. Especially with the expanded calendar.

Ferrari has no good reason to detune their engines. The championship was lost in the first quarter and is only wins that matter at this point.

When the PU is run at 100%, it leads to failures as we saw in the first half of the season. Ferrari has adjusted accordingly.

They took a risk at Monza but in general, we likely won’t see it at full power until the issue is fixed over the offseason.

probably not, but they (or everyone?) are likely to bring new engines for COTA anyway, so maybe can take a bit more risk

RBR will smash it. Merc has a good chance against Ferrari for a podium place.
I think just about every weekend we have heard merc stand their chance or best chance at a podium or win.
And have they not been consistently doing that, especially since around Spain? Mercedes has 13 podium finishes this season, Ferrari has 16. Be it on pure pace, reliability, team strategy, etc. is irrelevant, his post was 100% valid.

Ferrari appears to have a slightly shallower wing (although I understand the angles may be playing with my eyes).

I think RB and Ferrari both ran these wings at Silverstone. RB without the gurney though.

There is no denying that whatever Ferrari does is much shallower... :D Couldn't resist, apologies!
