A historic moment.
Serious question... Why is it historic?
It's not, unless someone has an obscure stat nobody knows about.

Just a bit more of the possible over hype.

Because he expects Antonelli to become a future world champion. Kind of like Verstappen making his debut.

Mercedes will run a back-to-back test at the #ItalianGP weekend to compare a new floor that debuted at Spa with an older version.

no indication of Allison thinking Merc will struggle at Monza, he's hoping for a podium or better

1. At Silverstone, Spa, and Zandvoort the same C1, C2, and C3 tyres and track temps at race day and weekend mixt conditions. Not the same type of DF tracks, but the biggest difference factor was the new SPA upgrades

2. It seems that although the DF levels are increased without inducing bouncing/porpoising it also narrows the car`s tyre operation window, an issue that RUS revealed after the qualy.

3. It also seems that they faced the same Ferrari issue with unexpectedly high both vertical and lateral loads overloading particularly the rear tyres, something they couldn’t simulate in the CFD and WT. So they need to evaluate back-to-back the old spec and the new upgrades with the required changes at the suspension.

4. Here at Monza they`ll have the same C3, C4, and C5 as they had in Canada and also the same low DF levels, although the track temps will be higher. It`ll be interesting to see how the tyre deg will be in these conditions, based on the newly reshaped kerbs and track surface.

Ahem. Please stop gas-lighting the thread, thank you.

I don't know about the toxicity you speak of. It's actually the most peaceful of the major team threads when you look at actual supporters of the team.
First off. Look up gas-lightong, you're using it wrong.

If you think there is no toxicity in this thread, may I politely suggest you reread it. The heard is full of LH and GR fans spouting vitriol about the other driver trying to win the intrateam top trumps competition. It's the same over in the McLaren thread with LN and OP fans arguing instead of celebrating their team's success.

It IS toxic and adds nothing to the discussion.
I am using the word correctly. Not surprisingly, your post is another attempt at gas-lighting...

You are seeding doubt in another one's sense of reality.

If you check it. None of the true Mercedes fans are starting or entertaining toxic discussions. We tend to shut down or ignore the attempts.
"...seeding doubt in another one's sense of reality." Selective quoting part of a definition there.

Gas lighting requires more than just that aspect. What am I attempting to coerced you into doing via emotional manipulation?? What is my goal??

I am obviously not aiming this at the true Mercedes fans who are not engaging in the toxic arguments, but there is a level of toxicity in several threads, I am not the only one who sees it and even mods have had to step in at times. But sure, I'm making it up and imagining it.....

I am stating factual observations. You are telling me that the things I can see and read are not real despite the fact that I can see them.

Oh wait, by your definition that would mean you're gas-lighting me....

"We tend to shut down or ignore the attempts."

What attempts?? You told me I'm imagining them and they don't exist.
If I come across as blunt, I apologise, it's my ASD. Sometimes, like an F1 car aqua-planing, it gets out of my control.

It's not. But just like the word "iconic" gets overused for things that are not iconic, same thing happens with historic.

It kind of serves Mercedes right for putting him on a soft tyre fast run programme in his first ever flying laps in an F1 car............why would you even do that?

Everyone says that he is just 18 but at the same time, they name him "next Max Verstappen" or next World Champion. This crash just puts more pressure on him. Mercedes gambled BIG on taking him next year regardless of the crash, that's the truth.
